I have been practising Wicca for 2 years but have not got many supplies such as wands, cauldron etc because my parents dont know i'm a witch. I know Wicca isn't all about magick, but i need the tools for Sabbats and stuff. Is it possible to get good results without all of the tools? neutral

I belive it helps to have supplies, but as long as the feeling is there then you're good.

You know, if you are in a situation like that...it's easier to MAKE your own tools. My friend Kelly made her own wand for exsample with an amythist crystal, a willow branch, and silver wiring...really simple to make and you put your own vibrations into it. I make my own candles for one ^-^ it's simple but you gotta be careful, and couldrons..well those are tough to get but if you cant get your hand on one...use a fire proof bowl. sweatdrop

I have a few tools that I keep hidden (closet Witch - litterally). I've had to learn to complete rituals and spells without, really, anything. My parents don't know that I'm a Witch, so I can't use candles or incense and I keep the few tools I have on a small altar table in the back of my closet.

I'm not a closet Witch but on Litha I set out food for the faeries. My step-dad threw it out the next morning, not knowing what it was. He doesn't really understand what it is anyway. He accepts my religion, though. It's kind of funny when we're in a book store he hands me a book specificly for love spells. I tell him I don't do those but I appreciate him trying to help.
Also, it's not the best idea to keep this from your parents. Are you sure they don't accept Wicca and witchcraft? If not, try by asking them what they think on the subject without saying you are a witch/Wiccan. If they seem to accept it, little by litte, drop hints. Start with stuff like "Mom, I'd like to buy a few crystals. I enjoy how they look." Keeping this, isn't exactly emotionaly healthy.

i haven't really done spells, and i have a hard time observing the sabbats, mostly because i forget them sweatdrop but, for example, i have a basic uhm, it's like a mini-alter, you know? and for my items to represent the goddeess and the god, i actually have toys, a little comb that came in a basket i got for easter to represent the Goddess, and a teddy bear picture holder i got for my birthday for the God, so as long as the proper energy and intent is there, then it'll be fine, it's not like they're gonna get pissed at you because you don't have the exact supplies you need, and decide to improvise

I have yet to get "supplies", but then I have yet to begin my wiccan practices. I've mostly been reading up on the history of the religion.
I doubt it really has to do with the quantity of supplies. I think belief is stronger than material possessions.

I have a few supplies but not many and I aren't allowed to light candles. However I have read that the tools are only to help you and if you are good at visulising you can do the ritual in your head without any tools at all.

supplies are nice for some people, but personally, as long as you believe in the spells that you cast w/ or w/o supplies, they'll all work. don't think you need those things or else your spells won't work. plus, considering the situation you're in, it makes it easier for you to do w/o

For the ones in the candle situation, think about why your'e not allowed to have candles. Is it because you could get wax on the carpet? If so, use something like colored flashlights or white flashlights with ribbons tied around them. You can also maybe even tint the plastic where the light shines through. Are you not allowed because this is considered a ritual that's Wiccan and "evil"? What about other religions? There are candles in church and on menorahs. You could point this out to your parents.
Hope I have been of help! smile Blessed Be.

I wouldn't exactly know either. I am still somewhat new at this, and I know my parents will not approve. However, when I feel the time is right, I will buy them and just hide them. inblood_isoak mentioned that it isn't exactly emotionaly healthy to hide this from your parents, and if at all possible I do believe they should be told. However, in my situation it wouldn't be physically healthy for me to tell them. Anyway, the exact supplies shouldn't matter. It's the thought and feeling that does.
