A well known Tavern sits in the distance from and small town. This small town was known as Suna. The folks in Suna were kind people who would feed you and put you up for the night if the inns were full. A girl who lived in the forest on the outskirts of town would sometimes come into this town to get supplies. No one knew her name or anything about her. But they did know she was bad news for their town.
The girl was a fire demon in a way. She could control fire yes, but when it came to fighting with it well that was a whole different story. The girl had just turned 21 so for her birthday she decided to go into town. And that girl was and still is me and this is my story about the Silver wolf tavern.
Walking into town I had my cloak blowing in the wind behind me like a cape. Looking around at the shop keepers I noticed the stares. Most of the time when they stared it was cause I was creepy, but today was different. Their eyes were full of hate and anger. Had they finally found out I had stole or something else.
Continuing on I eventually just ignored all the stares, until I got hit in the head with a rock. I whipped myself around and growled but then gasped. The whole town was now in front of me with weapons.
“You freak get out of here. You’re no longer welcome here,” The towns people shouted.
After getting hit a few times I ran. The villagers followed until I was out of their town completely. I walked towards the tavern. Grasping my shoulder in pain and limping I eventually made it to the tavern. I looked at the sign that was hanging above the door. “The Silver wolf tavern.” I let out a long sigh.
A tavern was no place for a short, red headed, freaky fire demon. I turned away from the tavern and started to walk away until I felt someone grab my shoulder. I flinched in pain but didn’t turn to look at the person.
“You’re hurt, come inside and I’ll get some things to help you heal quicker,” the person said. I could tell it was a man but his voice was calm and caring.
I sighed once again knowing he was going to help me weather I wanted help or not. I turned around to look at the man but couldn’t see much because of the night time sky. The man grabbed my hand and took me inside. He led me to a couch where I sat down. He left and came back holding stuff to tend to my wounds.
Setting the things down next to me, he then took his oriental hat he had been wearing off his head. I blushed at the site of him. He had bright blue eyes, short spiky brown hair and a smile that made me smile.
“My name is Shiroku Blood Takune, but you can call me Blood. Looks to me you must have gotten into a big fight miss…. Uh what’s your name,” Blood said laughing a little.
“Kantana, that’s my name and I guess you could say I was in a fight,” I said flinching at the pain in my shoulder.
“Well then Kantana if you want your shoulder fixed you’re gonna have to remove your shirt,” Blood said grabbing some Band-Aids.
“REMOVE MY SHIRT?! I don’t even know you and there is no way in hell I’m gonna take my shirt off,” I said blushing and holding onto the bottom of my shirt.
“Ok see you just don’t want my help and I will cut the shirt off of you if I have to cause its looks to me like you have some metal stuck in your shoulder,” Blood said getting pissed off.
I muttered some cuss words but then pulled my shirt of best I could. After Blood bandaged me up I heard talking between 2 people, a female and a male both walking down stairs. The male I could tell was part wolf. A black tail wagged back and forth as he talked. And the female, well she was someone I knew. I growled at the look of her.
She looked back at me and laughed evilly. She had Icy blue eyes, long blonde hair, and had a bow and arrows on her back. Blood looked back and forth at her and I.
“Growing up with you I always figured you would become a whore for money, eh KT,” She said walking closer to me.
“******** you Nikki,” I said standing and getting fire in my eyes.
“What you gonna do burn me, please I know you better then that you freak, and now I am going to finish what dad never could,” Nikki said putting her hands around my neck and choking me.
I started to gasp for air and became very light-headed. The wolf pulled her off of me and when he did I had fallen backwards onto Blood’s lap. I blushed and quickly went outside. Blood followed me to make sure I was breathing ok. After a while I couldn’t breathe and fell over gasping for air yet again.
“Oh s**t! What do I do, what do I do, crap, oh crap, oh crap,” Blood said freaking out and then he realized what he had to do.
He leaned close to my face. His face bright red, as is lips brushed against mine for CPR. My eyes shoot wide open and my head was telling me to pull away from him but my heart told me to stay. Blood realized I had breath again and pulled away quickly and looked away from me.
“Sorry bout that, I saw you fall over and was worried do I gave you or was going to give you CRP,” Blood said stuttering.
“Um thanks and I think I should leave, Nikki hates me… A lot,” I said blushing still and getting up.
“Nikki is leaving, wolfen is making her after what she did to you, so you should stay here, with me. I mean I live here so um yea you should live here to,” Blood said grabbing my arm.

“I talked to Wolfen he said you and your sister can live here, we already got your stuff and put it in the room next to mine, Alvise told me what you liked so I painted the room and got you furniture and stuff,” Blood said looking away from me cause he was blushing.
“Thank you,” I said softly.
A few seconds later Al came running in with some of my clothes and her little sheep. She smiled and put my clothes on the bed next to me and ran out of the room giggling and yelling at Wolfen for something to eat. I laughed a little but then coughed.
“You most likely have a cold, not surprised seeing as how you were sleeping in a cave, I’m gonna leave a let you get dressed but then you have to look at your room and tell me what you think,” Blood said smiling and closing the door behind him.
I looked at the clothes Al brought me and growled at them. The one thing she knew I hated to wear she picked out for me to wear. I growled as I got out of bed and grabbed the clothes. I quickly got dressed and pulled the short skirt down as far as I could get it, it was weird to be in girl clothes. I didn’t even know I owned girly clothes anymore. I sighed and opened the door to see Blood leaned up against the wall, he looked at me and I swear he was drooling a little.
“Ok so which room is mine again,” I said blushing and trying to get him out of the trance.
He shook his head a little and then opened the door on the left. “Miss Kantana this is your room.”
He opened the door to a very Japanese styled room, with carpet with love and death kanji on it in blood red, the bed is a king-size with the same kanji on the bed sheets, the bed is pretty much a foot of the ground and is just a base with a mattress in the middle of it. 3 bookshelves in different places around the room for Manga and Anime. A fourth shelf is for all Cd's which is all Techno, J rock, Rock, Metal, and soundtracks to various movies and shows. A walk in closet can also be found, but most of the clothes are Punk and Goth Japan, a poster of a singer is also found it entitles "Kyo, Vocals, Dir En Grey", It also has a T.V., A laptop, Ipod, PS2 and A regular closet for weapons and at the bottom of said closet is a medium sized box full of my childhood life and memories of life, family, friends, pictures, and writings. I rarely open this box so it has a layer of dust on the top. And everything in the room like paint color and stuff like that are Red, Grey, and Black. There is also a soda machine full of mountain dew.
My eyes got wide. “You did all this in 2 days, are you serious, this is awesome! I love it, thank you,” I said hugging him.
I felt him hug back and blushed. When I pulled away from the hug I turned away that way he couldn’t see my blush. Ok so I had a crush, so what, its not like he liked me back, knowing my luck he already had someone. Besides who would want to be with a freak like me. When I knew the blush was gone I turned and looked at him.
“Thank you again for this, and um not to be rude but can you leave that way I can get out of these clothes, I hate skirts,” I said rubbing the back of my head nervously.
He laughed a little and left the room, I went to my closet and put on my regular clothes which were baggy pants with chains, a short sleeved shirt with something stupid on it, arm warmers, collar and combat boots. I pulled the arm warmers as far up as I could get them, I didn’t want anyone to know what I did to myself, especially Al. I didn’t want to leave my room so I just plopped back onto my bed and let out a long sigh. How could one person make me feel so alive, like I should exist? I quickly shook the thought of Blood out of my head, no one could love me, dad always said so and I believe him. I was a freak of nature, part alchemist, cat, and fire demon. Who would want to love me let alone like me?
I put my hands behind my head and stared at the ceiling, so many thoughts were racing in my mind, I couldn’t even keep my head on one thing. After a while I heard a knock on my door, I growled lowly and got off the bed and went to the door. Opening the door I saw Al.
“KT come on you have to meet Wolfen, he is cool I like him, he says we can be his sisters and live here, I don’t know about you but I’m gonna stay here,” Al said smiling and then pulling me down stairs.
Al pulled me the whole way there cause she knew if I had a say in it I wouldn’t move, I’m not a people person what can I say? Al dragged me to the kitchen where Blood was making stir fry and Wolfen was sitting at the table next to geep as if he was guarding the stuffed animal. Blood saw me and Al, he smiled a little and went back to cooking dinner.
“Brother this is Kantana, or KT whatever you want to call her, she is my older sister, she’s cool I think you will get along with her,” Al said grabbing her stuffed animal and sitting down next to him.
Wolfen stood up and extended his hand. “Nice to meet you KT, I guess you are kinda my sis now, so welcome to the weird family,” He said laughing a little.
I shook his hand. “Thank you for letting me and Al stay here, we’ve never really had home before so yea, thank you,” I said smiling a little.
“Dinner is ready everyone,” Blood said putting bowls of stir fry on the table.
“I’m not hungry right now so just put mine in the fridge and I’ll heat it up later, thank you for making it though,” I said leaving the kitchen and going outside.
“What’s up with her,” Blood said sitting down and eating.
“Well for starters she is not a people person, 2 she has never been looked after, 3 she’s never had a real family except me, our dad kicked us out a few years ago, he didn’t like Kantana so he would always put her down and hit her, oh and she thinks no one should be close to her that way she doesn’t hurt them like she did our real brother who is now dead,” Al said stuffing her face.
“Your dad kicked you guys out of your own house?” Wolfen asked.
“Yep, well he kicked Kantana out and she didn’t want me staying there with him so she took me with her, and then we met up with Bradley who got killed because of KT, that happened 3 years ago, 3 years today I think,” Al said.
“So Kantana thinks it was her fault he died then,” Blood said curious.
“Exactly, she puts so much stress on her self everyday because of it, that and everything dad had ever said to her makes her worse,” Al said looking at her bowl sadly.
Meanwhile I was outside sitting in a tree, Al was right 3 years on that day my brother had died because of me, because he saved my life, even though it took his own. I felt tears in my eyes trying to escape, I quickly wiped my eyes. I knew I couldn’t fight the tears back so I jumped off the tree and sat against the base of it with my knees to my chest crying. Blood saw this and walked over to me.
“Al told us about your brother, I’m sorry to hear he died. But I don’t think he blames you seeing as how he was the one who saved you,” Blood said trying to comfort me.
“No one gets why he did what he did except me so don’t even say he doesn’t blame me cause it my fault, because of what I did to get myself there, because of what I was trying to and what I said to him,” I said in a low dark tone.
“Enlighten me, tell me what happened and then I will tell you if you are right or wrong on that theory of yours,” Blood said sitting next to me.

I found the training grounds near by and saw ninja weapons lying on the ground, I looked at all of them and I picked up a random katana, holding the katana I started to practice my sword skills. I practiced for a few hours and then put the sword down and sat in the grass, after a while I heard laughing from Al. I figured that Al, Blood and Wolfen were back but I stayed at the training grounds.
Standing up I made a fire ball in my hand and stared at it for the longest time until I felt a pair of arms wrapped around me and a head on my head. I laughed and knew who it was right away.
“Hey Blood, did you have fun shopping with Al, I hope she didn’t bug you too much,” I said looking up.
Blood laughed a little.
“Nope she didn’t bug me at all and she is funny to be with especially when Wolfen gave her caffeine, that was entertaining,” Blood said with a smile on his face. “Why don’t you come inside Al picked some stuff out for you.”
“Oh god, Al got me girly clothes didn’t she,” I said sighing a little.
“Just see what she got you, I think you will like it, by the way did you get the note I left you,” Blood said.
“Yea I got the note and thank you for the pancakes they were awesome,” I said blushing remembering the note he gave me.
Blood smiled and then grabbed my hand as he walked towards the tavern.
“No problem Al told me you liked pancakes,” Blood said.
I held his hand and blushed the whole time. Something about Blood made me happy and made me blush. I smiled and bit my lip a little trying not to giggle. Blood saw this and stopped walking. Looking at me he smiled.
“Why are you biting your lip,” He said laughing a little.
“Hmm what oh no reason,” I said blushing even more.
“KT tell me,” He said smiling.
“Nope. Not telling,” I said looking at the ground.
Blood and I stood there for a while. After a few minutes Blood made me look at him. Smiling at me and staring me in the eyes. I smiled a little, his eyes were so calm and caring. My mind kept trying to shake him from my head but I wouldn’t let it, I was tried of being alone, alone at everything. I kept staring at him and then I felt his lips brush across mine lightly. I found my self kissing him back and then blushing bright red when he pulled away. Blood held me close and smiled brightly.
“I love you Kantana, and even if you don’t love me back I won’t care, I feel so much stronger when I am around you,” Blood said holding me tighter.
“I.. I love you too Blood, and I feel the same way about you. I mean um yea I forgot what I was about to say,” I said stuttering a little and then blushing even more.
I then heard clapping from behind us. I quickly turned my head and then hid as much of my face I could in Bloods chest. Al and Wolfen had been watching the whole time. Al smiled and Blood looked at her a gave a little wink as if she had known I liked him the whole time, which she probably did seeing as how she stole my journal on a regular basis. Al and Wolfen eventually went back inside and Blood sat there holding me.
“Are they gone yet,” I said muffled.
“Yes they are gone, and um KT I have a question for you, its kinda stupid though,” He said blushing a little.
I looked at him and smiled.
“There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers,” I said smiling still.
“Well um I was wondering if you would be my girlfriend, I mean yea, know that I know we like each other I don’t want to lose you,” He said blushing bright red.
I giggled and then blushed at the giggle. “Of course I’ll be your girlfriend, but um to be honest you were my first kiss and you’ll be my first boyfriend,” I said blushing even more.
“Awesome-ness and um can I kiss you again, I mean yea that’s what I meant,” Blood said laughing a little and rubbing the back of his head.
I smiled and kissed him again. He kissed me back and pulled my closer to him. I put my arms around his neck and pulled away a little and smiled.
“I love you Shiroku Blood Takune,” I said smiling.
“I love you too Kantana,” Blood said kissing me one more time.
