Ana led Kyrai to a small garden on the building grounds. She was unusually quiet and it was obvious that there was something on her mind.

Kyrai slowly chewed on a sprout of bamboo and sat down on a grassy nole. Enjoying the nice breeze. "So what's up, Ana. Something bothering you?"

Ana looked at Kyrai from the corner of her eye. "You...could say that." She took a breath and continued, looking out across the garden. "I suppose you've noticed that Angel and I have been spending a lot of time together." She blushed, but forced herself to continue. "I won't lie, I'm very attracted to him. And I think there's the potential for...more.
But before I can pursue that, there's something I need to say. Something that I'll spend the rest of my life regretting not saying and wondering what might have happened if I had been braver. I don't want something like that hanging over...whatever Angel and could have together. Kyrai, I..."
She turned and looked him in the eyes for the first time since they had left the building. "I love you Kyrai. I always have. And I need to know if there's any chance at all that someday you...."

"How am I suppose to anwser this. Yes, I love you, but as a friend. You know my feelings for Yadi. That's not going to change. Not anytime soon, but that doesn't mean I don't care for you. I wanna see you and Angel together. You deserve each other, and each of you deserve a second chance at this." He sighed slightly and played with the bamboo sprout. "Don't concentrate on the what if's. It's the what is that is important."

Alexander stood, concealed by his light bending spell and the shadows form a small stand of trees, as he watched the pair. His eyes narrowed as he stared at Kyrai.

Ana closed her eyes and sighed as a strange mixture of loss and relief swept over her. She had faced her fear and the worst had happened....and it didn't hurt as bad as she had feared it would. She had the answer she needed. She could move on.
She opened her eyes and smiled at Kyrai. The smile was genuinely warm and free of resentment. She went and sat next to him on the knoll. "So...friends then?"

Forest_Kami_Kyrai "I shudder to think of those consequences." He smirked and shook his head. "Well it seems everything is going to work out for you. This is good. Very good." He stood up slightly. The wind blew through his hair as he stared off into the distance. "Ummm, I'll be right back. I just remembered something." He hodded a bit and waved at her as he started to wander off. "I won't be long." Ana laughed. "Will I get to call you "Gramps" like Sanctum does?" She nodded and waved as he left. Standing up, she wandered over near a small stand of trees, smiling a bit to herself as she thought of Angel who, for all she knew, was still asleep in her bed. "Maybe I should go wake him up..." She murmured to herself.

Alexander growled deep in his throat when he saw Ana sitting next to Kyrai with her head on his shoulder. "She's mine!" He whispered fiercely.
He pressed back further into the shadows as Ana wandered over near where he was hiding. For a brief moment he felt that something was....different, but the thought was pushed aside by his rage. His mind was filled with images of the things he's make her do as punishment for defying him.
She wandered less than three feet from the tree behind which he was hiding. Quickly and silently, he came up behind her a grabbed her arm, spinning her around to face him.
"Afternoon Precious."

When he had pulled up against him, her eyes narrowed. "Afternoon, Dickhead." Her knee came crashing up into his groin with all the force she could muster.

Alexander gasped in pain and shock as Ana kneed him. He bent over and fell to the ground. "You b***h! You're going to pay for that!" He tried to get off his knees but fell back as the sickening pain washed over him again. He groaned and rolled onto his side.
