Xi sombers up along side of the bubbly young lady and smiles to her. "Well atleast we know it's not much further now I suppose." he turns his head and grins to Marin "Think we'll make it before sun set?"

Marin looks up at the sky. The sun was starting to thrown long shadows across the hill.
Her head comes down, she looks first at Tyera and then Xi. Of course. She smiles. And now... I think... we don't need a guide! As she speaks she slowly increases her pace, finishing just infront of Tyera as she bursts out running.

Xi smiles to Marin as she takes off and looks to Teyra before sprinting off after the two young ladies. Knowing he could most likely win this race with one temoral distortion he simply smiled as he ran trailing just behind the girls. "Hey, wait a minute! You two got a head start, thats not fair!" He laughed carefree as his feet continued to carry him down the path, his sarcasm carrying his spirits a little higher, he had to enjoy the peace while it was there to be enjoyed.

Marin slows down as she approaches the first row of buildings. Walking towards the central square. Her head turning about, taking in everything around with her malachite eyes.
She looks back at Xi and the girl, "Even if you had a three minute head start you're no match for me." She smiles a little.

Xi laughs a little more before responding to Marin "Well perhaps we'll just have to find out about that at a later date than, hopefully sometime between now and the time you plan on killing me." He grins to Marin rougishly.

She smiles a little back at him. Looking quite pretty now that she wasn't in 'soldier' mode. "Oh, but that might very well be when we figure out."

Xi smiles "Well my dear I hate to dissappoint but I'm not a firm believer in the idea of 'Those who fight and run away, live to fight another day' I prefer to meet the challenge head on." With a matter-of-factly nod to Marin he chuckles softly.

Xi smiles and looks around. "Well first things first, it's time to sooth the savage beast!" He laughs softly as he covers his stomach with both hands. "Tyera, I hope you've been through here and have some form of suggestion on where to eat...." He watches her, waiting for a response.

SHe wondered how Vankrin was. Were the people there also winding down for the night? Taking care of the last evening's chores, setteling down for dinner? Or were they too late? Were the people already running and screaming? She smooths her face as they enter the tavern<<
We can get a cheap meal and a few beds here.
