One of the fun things about living in Toronto is all the fun picking out movies that were filmed out here. Kim and I just watched Resident Evil 2 again and were chuckling at the fact that the place we got married, City Hall, is the setting for the final battle with Nemesis. I found a site that list the top selling movies that were filmed out here and how many awards that movie won. It is interesting to see just how often Toronto is used in films. Take a look see for yourself.

From time to time you see areas blocked off and if you watch the news there are a lot of celebrities in town for many reasons, be it film festivals or filming a new movie. Meat Loaf was here not to long ago and I wish I could have been there because I've heard he is friendly. John Trivolta (sp?) was just down the street filming Hair Spray not long ago either. I've run into costume designers for X-men and directors and the like. It all depends on if you are at the right place at the right time.

There are a lot of different conventions here too that attract a lot of big names. It is how I got my contacts in the anime/manga industry. One thing about Toronto is there is always something interesting happening around here.

Ooohh how I long to get out of rural noting-ever-happens central and into a big city. If I can ever escape the, "the only thing there is to do is go to bars" scene I will consider myself a success, The only "cultural" thing there is around here is a monthly produce sale in the town square, two fresh ears of corn for a dollar crying

*Sigh* I guess I'd miss the quiet of living in the country and the peace and stillness of nature just before a thunderstorm........ confused Good lord, sappy much? *Shrug* I better just go with it!
