Moop and Inoni: The Beginning of Bluewater
In a cozy corner of Kirntaur Care Central, there lies the Bluewater Ranch, run by a young teeange girl named Inoni. She is an up-and-coming breeder of Kirntaurs, who dreams of owner a huge Ranch full of the cute creatures. But, before she reaches her epitomy of fame and has a nice comfy slot at the top, she has to start at the bottom. This journal is a record of her adventures, as she works her way up from an empty farm and a little mint Kirnling called Moop.

Day 1: July 5, 2005

Today, I bought a ranch. I don't really know why, but I just felt so tired of city life. I was browsing through some pictures of different farmscapes for sale, not really serious, when I found the perfect one. It looked like a very pretty place: with a small farmhouse, a barn, and a nice fenced-in pasture. There was a river and a pond, and lots of trees. It looked so great, that I just couldn't help but buy it. As soon as I'd filled out the check and packed my things, I took a taxi out there. I dropped off my bags at the house, then went out and explored. Everything was just like I'd seen it, green and fresh and full of rural beauty. Of course, it was a little run down, and I began making mental notes of things that needed fixing. Of course, by the time I was done one room of the house, I knew I'd need to write things down. I grabbed a ntoepad from my suitcase, then began sweeping the house and looking for things that were in dire in of repair.

Once I'd finished recorded why the house wasn't up to shape, I went outside. Now, I hadn't planned on buying any Kirntaurs until I'd fixed everything up, but MegaRose obviously had something else in mind for me. On my doorstep, there was a little wobbly-legged Kirnling. She was adorable, and SO tiny! I still swear that she was only about ten mintues old. Her eyes were huge and icy purple in hue, her coat was shiny, soft, and mint green. I looked around, but so no one. The minute little Kirn gave a weak little bleat and rubbed up against my legs, so I picked it up and cradelled it against my chest. I decided to call it Moop, for reasons I still don't really understand. I brought it inside and put it on my bed, patting it's head softly until it yawned and fell asleep.

I ran a lap around the farm, finishing my list of repairs. I'd also started a shopping list of things I'd need on the next page. I headed back to the farmhouse and undressed. I tiptoed into the bedroom and slipped under the covers, careful not to wake the little Kirnling curled up next to me. I read over my list and let out a quiet little sigh. I sure will have a lot of work to do tomorrow!

Day 2: July 6, 2005

I woke up to a rooster crowing and sunshine streaming through the window like silky golden sheets, covering everything in their warm glow. It was beautiful, and I silently wondered where on earth that rooster-crow had come from. I got up and put on a pair of old blue jeans and a ratty, red plaid shirt. It was a bit to big, so I buttoned it hallway and tied the rest of the fabric in a knot above my belly button. I tied my hair back in a pony tail and went into the kitchen to eat breakfast.

There is nothing scarier than opening your suitcase to retrieve your breakfast, and seeing a Kirntaur looking up at you. After a long, peaceful sleep, one usually forgets what happened to you right before you went to bed. I screamed, scared the poor thing almost to death, and then recovered quite quickly. I was afraid I'd permanently scarred it or something, because its legs shook as it followed me to the kitchen. It cheered up after I fed it some toast, and I made a note in my book to buy some hay.

The rest of the day was nothing but hard work. I went into town and bought everything I needed. I returned, and ran about the farm fixing things. I adjusted the pipes below the sink so that they wouldn't leak, I redid a few sections of the pasture fence and strengthened the gate on it. I cleaned out the barn and scrubbed it till it was shining. Once the entire place was spotless, I filled each stall with a thick layer of soft, golden hay. And at the end of the day, I collasped into bed content. I'd done a good day's work, and it looked like soon I could set up the ranch. But, as I tried to fall asleep, Moop came and leapt onto my bed. She'd been following me all day, getting tangled in my legs and tripping me up constantly. As she climbed up and sat upon my head, then promptly fell asleep, I swore silently under my breath. You have no idea how hard it is to sleep with a goat on your head.

Day 3: July 7, 2005

The rooster crowing awoke me again this morning, and I took a good fifteen minutes looking out my window searching for it. But alas, I could not find it, and it stopped crowing once I was awake, so I don't even have a rough direction of where it's from. Moop refused to go out to the barn and eat hay for breakfast, so I made her some more toast. Between the day I got her and today, she has put on a small amount of weight. She is no longer quite as stickly as she was before, and I'm glad.

Today passed almost as quickly as yesterday. I did a quick check for farm breakage, and found none. So, I spent my time making the house a little nicer. Or at least, just the part of the house people would ever see. I painted the main room and fixed up a nice little desk. I took some of the pens and papers and forms I'd bought yesterday and arranged them nicely on it. There were some forms entirely about your Kirn's records, and I fille done out about Moop. I also started a Kirntaur family tree. Right now, there is only one Kirntaur on it. It looks rather sad...

It was about 2 o'clock when I finished my work, all except for the second coat of paint in the main entrance, which I couldn't do till tomorrow. So I sat on the pasture fence, thinking about my ranch... It was missing something. Then it hit me- It need a name. There was a huge arch near the entrance to my Ranch, which would be perfect for writing it's name. I fetched a can of paint and a paintbrush, and began to climb up the pole supporting it. I worked my way across it, painting bright, bold letters in blue. And so it was complete. My Ranch was complete, and I could open myself for business. BlueWater Ranch is complete! Now somebody get this goat off my head...

Day 15: July 19, 2005

The ranch is abandoned, still, quiet. Only Moop and I are here, and we feel very much alone. I write now as I sit atop the pasture fence, leaning lightly against a tree for support and watching the sun rise. Moop is snoozing in some long grass, completely oblivious to the fact that nothing has happened here for quite some time. Quite awhile ago, EmoeChee came for a visit. She brought her Kirn, Kokoru, and I convinced her to bring him back once he was fully grown. Then, he will become my main breeder, seeing as how I do not own any other male Kirns. But that was ages ago, way back around Day 6. As of now, I am bored out of my skull.

I decided to head back into civilization. I called up a taxi, scooped Moop up in my arms, and told him to drive into the city. Once we arrived, I paid the driver his money and got out. It was only a short walk to the Kirntaur Labs. From the main wing, the place looked pretty desolate and abandoned, with only a few people shuffling about, muttering under their breath. Then, off to the side, I saw a very busy place. It was filled with lots of chairs, most of which were occupied. Every few minutes, one of the three or four people standing up front would pull out a Kirntaur. Then, everyone would jump out of their chairs and race up to the front. First person to get there forked over some cash, and BANG! They were walking out of the room with a cute new Kirnling. I thought to myself... Maybe I should buy a new Kirnling?
