Low notes sound prettier than high notes but I think it's easier to play high when there are slurs and 16 or 32 notes.

Low notes, definitely. It has more of that rich dark tone, isn't piercing, and sounds so damn good when you're doing it right. cool

Can be hard to play good quality/loud low notes quickly though. xD (Unless you have a nice headjoint - then it's made easier ;x)

well, low notes are eaiser for me to get out now but back in 6th grade, I had an eaiser time with high notes. Then again, my flute teacher is trying to correct all of my bad habits because I hadnt taken any flute lessons up until last year but the teacher I had last year didnt teach me anything about good technique. I guess I shouldnt even count them as flute lessons because all she did was have me play solos and etudes and I had so many bad habits and she never said anything about any of them. My flute teacher now ( I've been taking lessons from her for a couple months now) has been correcting all of the bad habits I learned. So now, with the correct embochure, I am having a harder time getting out high notes but I just need to learn to relax a little more with my embochure when playing flute so everything comes out eaiser and sounding WAY better

I find it easier to play the high notes, but I like the sound of the low notes...if I can actually play them properly.

I like how the low notes sound. they're very mellow and relaxing. I also find it easier to play low notes.

Low notes. They're so soft and ... sweet. Don't know how else to put it.
Then again, maybe it's because I can't play anything above that b-natural above the staff. It gets all ... airy and shrill. Maybe because of my braces ...?

I'm sure you'll be able to play the hugher notes just fine once they are gone--that's what happened to me.

Depends... I really like low notes but I really like high notes too... I just love the flute in general. hehe
I really like high g. I think it usually sounds really awesome.
I hate high e natural... it makes me sad when I play it. It sounds so so bad on my old flute...
I like high C when I have enough time to reach my gismo (sp?) key! haha it's so far away xd

I like both.
I'm the only person in my high school band who can get the high notes out without sounding horrible, and one of the only who can get a good tone on the low notes.

I prefer low notes. I think they sound more beautiful. They're richer and much more magical. I love playing lullabys on them it makes me want to float on clouds!!

Aww, you sound so cute. But I totally agree. I seriously love the sound of low notes. It has a deep, rich sound to it that I absolutely love. I can play the high notes, but I'm not a big fan of them.
