Anyone who has played through Broodwar's Zerg campaign fairly well should know what I'm talking about. The next race that an entire mission was based on. Don't recall what I'm talking about? Try going back to some of the last missions (I can't recall the number). It's the one with the timer. If you finish with more than five minutes left (easily accomplished with the instant-win cheat THERE IS NO COW LEVEL), you will unlock a secret protoss mission (which is actually quite entertaining, what with all the mind controlling). Anyway, you find a big secret about
WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! BIIIIIG SPOILERS! IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED THIS LEVEL YOURSELF, GO PLAY IT NOW!!!
A Zerg-Protoss hybrid. Cool, no? Infested Protoss? And how about that Samir Duran? Not working for Terran, now he's not working for Zerg, either! What do you think this new race will be like?
Their buildings? Attack strategy? Future roles? Special capabilities?

This is something that I have been looking forward to for a long time, but it never happened. sweatdrop I want another game to emerge to see this special race that they are speaking of! scream
When I heard that Samir Duran wasn't working for the overmind and such, I was very confused, but it still intregues me to this day! whee
Apparently the zerg are not the most powerful. They are simply a pawn in an even bigger plot! twisted

Pft. Everyone knows that the Protoss will beat everyone up except for the UED and Raynor and they all rule the universe peacefully. Until the Orcs in Warcraft develop Hyperspace engines.

Well, ground and air are noticably different. It would be some where around Ultreaver or reavalisk, seeing as how the toss' heaviest ground unit is the reaver. 3nodding

The Reaverlisk will move at an inconsistent pace between slow as a crawl, and fast as a Zergling. It eats chocolate Zealots for breakfast.

They are simply a pawn in an even bigger plot! twisted At this point in the game Kerrigan controled the zerg broods. So Samir never worked for Kerrigan. Nah, I don't think theres going to be a reaverlisk, I think they'll just rename everything. So it doesn't seem like its a hybrid race of zerg and protoss. They are probably making it as we speak about this. My friend said that Blizzard was working on new projects and that they said that Starcraft 2 may be one of them. Something to look forward on, I suppose.

Anyway, that third race is going to have to be awkward to make... that would explain the constant putting off of SC2. I mean, how on earth are they going to cross the super-high-tech-expensive-to-make Protoss with the fast-and-cheap-rushing-biological-parasite Zerg?
I'm sure at this point the Terran are feeling lonely, too..
Also, how do you think the Terran are going to come back in the 2nd game? The UED's entire fleet was destroyed and that other guy (can't remember his name...I think he teamd up with Duke Edmund) wasn't looking to good, either.

Acturus Mengsk. I might have spelled the first name wrong though. Mengsk is the new 'emporer' of the Terran. I've been reading the books and they say that hes been rebuilding the Terran. Without Tassadar, the Terran would have been slaughtered. stare I will not get into that though. Anyway, so there definately will be Terran in SC2 if Mengsk has been rebuilding the Terran dominion, whatever. Edit: By the way, its sort of hard to see that there will be protoss in SC 2 since the zerg seemed to have wiped them out. Protoss were hit hard, very hard, remember. Their homeworld wiped out, the matriarch of the Dark Templar dead. x.x; Though I'm sure they'll be in SC2 as beautiful as ever.
