spinglass //
shiva ; amnesiac ; kitten ; beloved pet

[Name] Spinglass
++++ [Meaning] A spin glass is what is known as "magnetically frustrated" matter. This means that there is more than one lowest energy state available to atoms in the glass with respect to magnetism; and therefore, spin glasses exhibit highly unusual behavior under the application of an external magnetic field, as even at absolute zero the material would still exhibit non-zero entropy. Wikipedia has more information on spin glasses for the curious.

[Player] Coronaviridae

[Gender] Female
[Type] Shiva
[Affiliation] Fissure
++++ [Base-type] feline.exe
++++ [Mutations] Most of Spinglass's mutations are internal, altering her magnets and electromagnets and causing their extensive proliferation. So widespread and powerful are they that her personal magnetic field doesn't merely keep her wings and tail in place, but allows her to affect anything ferromagnetic that comes within a few feet of her. She can modulate her field strength with a relatively high degree of control, from essentially turning it off (with just enough left "on" to keep her wings and tail where they are) to grabbing everything metallic within a ten foot radius and dragging it inexorably toward her. She can also control the directionality of the field, as it's run off internal electromagnets, and swap the field polarity completely or in part to attract or repel nearby metallic objects.

This gives her a kind of magnetic-based telekinesis, though she doesn't have a lot of fine control over it--while she can easily pick up ALL the paper clips on someone's desk and throw them across the room, it's very difficult for her to pick up just one specific paper clip and throw it across the room. Similarly, while she can trip simple mechanical locks by rearranging the tumblers with her magnetic field, it would be a lot easier for her to just rip the lock--tumblers, door jamb, knobs, and all--right out of the door, and it would take much less time. Her upward limit on mass for lifting and throwing objects is roughly her own body weight; she could probably shove or even stop something the size of your average passenger car in a case of extreme emergency, but she definitely could not pick it up and throw it at someone.

As a consequence of the extensive proliferation of her magnets (and the associated shielding to protect her core systems from the effects of the magnets--though this has its limits, as will be detailed later), Spinglass will actually grow DOWN as she ages. That is, she'll get physically smaller, as much of her mass is sequentially converted into electromagnets and shielding. This means she'll also be very dense for her size (a lot of matter packed into a very small space), but nevertheless she'll also be quite tiny. Probably about the size of an avian.exe or possibly smaller, but very heavy at the same time. Additionally, her features will become more "kittenish"--big ears, big eyes, big paws, little tiny body.

On a purely aesthetic note, for whatever reason (lol abuse of physics), Spinglass's magnetic field can usually be visualized in the form of faintly glowing, golden field lines in the air around her. They're very dim and almost invisible when she's at rest, but grow progressively brighter and easier to see as she scales up the power of her magnetic field. [Translation: ghost can draw as much or as little as she wants of them for Spinny's art. xd ]

Also of note, the longest quill in each of her sets of wing-spines have mutated to adopt a corkscrew shape sort of like the symbol used in circuit diagrams to denote an inductance. The other quills are normal.

[Base color] Very dark gray, close to black. It should be a "warm" rather than a "cool" gray.

chimera //
normal ; intense ; cobra ; working companion

[Name] Chimera
[Owner] Coronaviridae
[Gender] Female
[Type] Normal
[Affiliation] Neutral
*[Morph] draconic.exe (crypt cobra coloring and embellishments)
=[Errors] It's not an error so much as a quirk, but Chimera tends to walk in looping circles rather than straight lines. Unconscious--if you point it out, she stops, but if she's not paying attention, she does it normally.

extra //
reserved ; held ; kept ; this space intentionally left blank

Other ideas I am having--
But without names yet, as they're not well-developed enough to take them.
[ Morphs ] typhonic beast (probably named Seth) -- would be based on the lupine.exe base with some considerable modifications (square ears, forked tail, "hooves" in place of claws).
[ Ideas ] A "skeletal" junkeater who underwent a partial morph that left him looking like he's wearing his bones on the outside (might be incorporated into Haruspex).;
