Hello and welcome to Junyi's art request thread, mark II! Here I hope to have a solid home base for requests that I can edit, update, and re-use whenever the mood strikes. Often seen in: Peasant blouses, long skirts, and barefoot when at home or familiar territory
Also seen in: Sleek, stylish outfits when in unfamiliar territory.

Background: Luna's mother is a Neilani, a sort of "sister species" to normal humans. Which is to say, outwardly, the Neilani look exactly like normal humans, but the difference is in their minds, which can sense the emotions of others.

As a half-Neilani, Luna was expected to be just as empathic as a full-blooded member of her race, but a mental attack directed directly at her while she was in the womb forced her brain to develop abnormally in order to protect itself. As a result, her capacity for empathy is far beyond that of a normal Neilani, and her strength stretches into even telepathy, which very few Neilani are ever able to master. However, the process rendered her completely mute. While she does have vocal chords and can use them, she simply isn't able to make those sounds resemble anything close to language.

This isn't to say she doesn't understand language; in fact, she grasps it quite well. Her communication is simply limited to empathy, telepathy, sign language, or writing.

She was raised alongside members of another race; the Porcelain. Porcelain are small, gentle empaths with an affinity for the elements. Though she's endured hardships of her own that distanced her from her own abilities, she's recently re-assimilated their way of life. As a result, she paints her face like a Porcelain, paints the character for "Earth" on her forehead like the Lucid Porcelain (Their thought patterns and hardships are the same as hers), and now communicates near-exclusively by projecting her feelings rather than any sort of language.

Personality: As an empath raised alongside Porcelain, Luna is keenly aware of and affected by the emotions of others. Like most Porcelain, she is gentle and compassionate, preferring to pursue warmth, platonic love, and the comfort of her element rather than romantic love or material comforts. She is also a bit shy and unsteady, having only recently returned to her roots.
