Our lovely cafe needs some scrumptious treats for us to nibble on, what would you like to see on the menu?
I'm a self confessed foodie, and i love to see what other's favourite goodies are, tell all here, post some pics too if you have any good ones, food is a visual pleasure too i think 3nodding
here's a few that i think of a typical cafe fare, tell me if you agree whee
toasties, one of the ultimate comfort foods i think, especially if you have some hot soup to dip them in 3nodding
flaky, buttery and exceedingly naughty pastry items, wonderful to give in to every now and again 3nodding
homemade cookies, big, soft and yielding and slightly chewy in the middle, if they're still slightly warm and any chocolate in them is melting then i'm in heaven!

Hmm.
Chocolate cake. n.n Spice cake, too, maybe, I haven't had that in a long time. Croissants with strawberry preserves are very good, too.

Chocolate rum brownies. Those are the best.
Though I made some cranberry-chocolate chip cookies today that are pretty good!

Toasties... Aaahhhh... *drools* Gotta have toasties with ham/bacon, toasties with sausage, toasties with mushroom, with ketchup, with tomato, with onion, with tuna, with sweetcorn and with any combination of the above. mad d
As for sweet treats... Various flavours of cheesecake (my personal favourites are lemon, raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, chocolate and toffee), pies with lots of different fillings (apple, summer fruits, forest fruits, lemon), and many different kinds of cake (black forest gateau, triple chocolate gateau, strawberry gateau, carrot cake, coffee cake, angel layer cake, bakewell tart, half-moon cake, marble cake, lemon drizzle cake, Viennese whirls...). Oh, and some strudel. And flapjacks. And scones with jam and clotted cream! Just open a damn bakery out back! I demand it! domokun

something that will make me forget my low carb vows is a hot crumbly raspberry muffin if you don't want to stuff yourself, these fluffy meringues are perfect little cookies. lightly crisp outside and an airy cloud within-

i made some chocolate/banana/coconut muffins last weekend, they were rather good, theye were only meant to be banana, but i chucked a few more things in to see how they'd turn out lol
anyway carbs are good in moderation! my muffins are 100% wholewheat flour, fresh fruit, hardly any fat or sugar, they're practically health food ninja honest! cool
i think my next batch will have raspberries in, i've not tried that yet, and i have some in the freezer.. domokun
