Welcome to the orgasmic world of magick, m'dear. First rule of the trade is, it's not Pokémon - don't collect spells until you know how to use'em. Have you read any books on whatever-branch-of-magick you happen to be looking into, maybe tried any spells yet?

My spellwork, when I do preform it, is almost always on-the-fly. I have a general idea of what elements will work for use but I keep things simple and use whatever techniques come to me at the time. So I could speak of spells I've done in the past, but I don't usually write them out and I haven't often used the same spell twice. Perhaps ever. I'm not sure. sweatdrop

You find one's you like or make up your own. I've really only made two, and those were by accident after I was trying to think of a poem to write. (I realize spells sound like poems, yes). Making up you're own is good, and a little fun. All you have to do is find the right words for you purpose.

WitchyBoy the best spells are the ones you write yourself my dear. True but occasionally some made by others help a lot. I have quite a few myself, mainly for sending troubled spirits on.

I havn't made up any spells really. I've had the sudden urge to work magic and I just did what felt right but I didn't actually have a spell written out or anything. I like to take already made ones and tweak them to fit my needs, beliefs and own ideas ^_^

depending on what your looking for i could have some, and most of the time, its on the fly. but i do remember a few spells that worked..for a time.

yes it is, so im forced to agree, but alot of spells, only need minor tinkering to work in the way you need them to work. you just switch out some words or phrases, redesign a ritual and bam your pretty much done, besides i think it instills more belief in the 'new-to-the-arts' people.
