Covered entirely with coloured fondant. Oh man.
My mom and I worked on it for about an hour and a half, rolling out the fondant and making it look all pretty and stereotypically Japanese [as we draw him out on sheets of paper and such. Major inside joke.]
The concept was all Melly's. My mom's boyfriend's birthday was the other day, and his party was tonight. He's half Japanese...so..
HAHAHA.
Oh man. This came out better than we thought. xD

It looks good! I've not ever messed with fondant before, but y'all did a great job on it. I love the indentions on the sleeves of the kimono. ((I'm trying to think, though... On a technicality note, shouldn't the fold of the kimono be on the other side, or was this a comment on the samurai's future condition as it gets eaten?))

That is awsome. The most I've done with food was a model of a Eukaryotic Cell. I used only food coloring, sugar, and fruit by the foot as the cell wall. It took forever. XD. I commend you on you're amazing cake. heart
