Prelude
Amid a flapping of wings and a downward woosh of air, all those present in the village of Ocean Shore witness a sight never before seen in all the long history of the island.
A majestic golden being, with great aqua wings, flutters down from a large bank of clouds that surrounds the Elder Mountain. Floating just inches from the ground, she surveys the inhabitants, a grim expression on her face.
"So these are the caretakers of which the Elders spoke..." she thinks to her self, looking at the humans with disdain. From her vantage, they seem so small and insignificant.
Wondering if these creatures will have the metle it takes to care for her kin, she gestures to the onlookers and waits for them to gather.
Alex, lazily opening his eyes sees the winged woman from before, only this time she went straight to the village below where the children were. In a near fit of panic he jumps straight down the rocky ledge, hoping from rock to rock as he goes. His agility is astounding, but as he nears the bottom he nearly slips, only regaining himself due to his staff. He calmly straightens himself and heads towards Illiana. Unlike the others, he was neither amazed nor afraid of her, the only thing that bothered him was the fact she was down here rather then up top where the elders resided.
"So... you're back..."
Illiana paid Alex no heed. She had given the land dwelling Elders the opportunity to prove themselves, to no end. It was time she take matters into her own hands.
Raising her staff as well as her voice, she issued, "All those with in the sound of my voice, come forth and take account. You have been placed here to look after my kin. I have come to test your worth. Heed my words, for treasure waits for those who would seek it."
Finally, looking to Alex, she commanded, "Name these, who would be guardians. Form them into teams, for they will need eachother if they wish to succeed."
Alex randomly looked around and picked out a few he thought to may have a chance to stand up against the crazy womans schemes *teehee*. He pointed out.. "you, you, you, and you.. oh yes.. and you.. and you...and..you.. and I guess you... come over here"
He bent low in a whisper, "Ok guys, don't let me down.... do what the cr...lady asks, and do it well... who knows what will happen if you don't"
Illiana studied the eight participants that Alex had chosen. She must know their worth, but she hoped they all survived the tasks she put to them. They loved her kith and kin and that had left a soft spot in an otherwise rough exterior.
"You four," she announced, pointing at the first team Alex had gathered, "You must go to the Caves of Keeltakriil on the far eastern side of the island. Once there, you will have to navigate its dark, dank and often dangerous tunnels and bring me back a flask of the holy water that lies in the crystal chamber at the base of the Cave. Remember, work together, help eachother and dont leave anyone behind. You must all return to be considered."
Breathing deeply, she turned to the second group, ready to offer them an equal challenge. "For you, I have a slightly different request. The oceans around the island are full of plants of all kinds. They are also filled with dangerous and carniverous sea life. Five miles off the western coast, there is a shoal where a very special kind of seaweed grows. It is an irridescent greenish blue, with soft, frilly tendrils of pink coming off the main leaf. I require a satchel full of this ocean plant. Bring it to me and I will deem you worthy of your charges."
Smiling, she took in the whole group, "I do not envy you your tasks, but I have faith that you will all return triumphant. You all have skills that will be useful on this journey. Discover these in eachother, nurture them, and return to me stronger than you left. I wish you luck!"

Caroline took Lena in her arms after the elder had finished speaking. She glanced over at the young Zoombini rather curiously.
Lena wrapped her arms around Caroline's neck. "Team two, team two!" She chanted with excitement as a large grin formed on her lips.
"I see you're up to an adventure Lena sweetie, but I may not be" Caroline gulped nervously.

Lady_Ourania
Ourania shifted uncertainly on both of her feet. "I'm as ready as I'll ever be..." she replied to Lena's query. "I'm Ourania Eridanus. You may call me by any moniker you wish so long as it is not... insulting."
She looked out at where the sea would be could her eyes perceive it, feeling a lead weight pressing down on her chest. This would be difficult, more difficult perhaps because they were in a group. Would tempers flare? Personalities clash? She would just have to wait around and hope they could take whatever was thrown into their path. The fact that she was being ordered around made her hackles rise slightly, but she managed to maintain her stoic expression; it was all for a good cause. "Perhaps we should organize some how? Select a leader or something to that effect?"

Ameh
Ameh stared at the spot the winged female stood at, taking it all in. A task? .. Sure, the goal seemed easy enough. Find the place where a certain special type of seaweed grew out of all the other flora that grew on the island while taking care to actually survive in the part of the island where it grew. Satchel full. She paid no attention to her surrounding team members until Nahoa, who was cradled in Ameh's arms, began to fidget around. He looked up from his place at the other team members and poked his tiny finger on Ameh's arms.
She looked up around her - at the other team mates. Ah, it's been a while since she had ever had something like this - a quest - to fulfill. She tipped her head and greeted, "Hey, people call me Ameh. So, I guess I'm ready for this.. journey. Anyone need to make more preparations? .. Hey, anyone have a satchel?" She thoughtfully looked around, wondering if she would regret taking this task on with a few people whom she had never met before.

Mia Sharra
Amai walked over to the others on her team, Alek following beside her.She stopped a few steps away form them."Err..hello i'm Mia."Stuffing her hands into her pockets she looked over the other she would be working with.
Alek bounded forward and smiled at everyone"Hello!"
As the one she had heard was called Ameh spoke she looked at her."A satchel? Err..I don't."

Ameh
Ameh raised a hand in greeting to Ourania and Mia. "Nice to meet you," she said, also nodding at Caroline. She looked down at her feet, shuffling a little in deep thought, somewhat. "A leader.." she mumbled. "I wonder how we would be able to pick a leader? Eh?" she thought out loud. "..and if no one has a satchel," she mused, "we should probably go and get one, eh?" She chuckled a little and thought where her team would end up if they had traveled to the place where the seaweed they sought grew only to not have a satchel to put it in - just as the winged female ordered so.
Nahoa jumped down from Ameh's arms and raised an arm up, rapidly waving at Alek. "Hi!" he chimed out. He grinned from toe to toe, that method seeming to be his way to say "hello" to the other people in his owner's team. Nahoa wiggled his tail, excited that there was a bunch of people gathered around him - lots of friends for him to play with!
