Favorite Deity(ies): Seth, Anubis, Osirus, Ra... I just love them all. Favorite Story: The myth behind Osirus. They're all so outlandish. Favorite Mix-Deity: Amon + Ra = Amon-Ra Any Favorite Scrolls?: Hm, does the Book of the Dead count? Other Notes: I've been interested in this kind of thing since I was in third grade.

I'll probably go after I get out of college or right before I go to college... my first priority is Japan right now - which I might be able to pull next year or the year after, as my dad is being a tad reluctant about it - but he says if I can organize a lot of it he'll let me do it Can feel the purest of love <<

My dad traveled the world 52 times! I only went on two of his trips... both to Egypt... If you want to travel the world before college, i suggest contacting colleges in the country you want to visit. Some would be gad to fly you their if you study for two weeks or so!

>> Only the blackest of heartsYeah, I was thinking about doing a bit of abroad studying, I just don't trust my fluency in either language that well - although I have heard that many Egyptians speak English, so I could probably pull that... Anywhere in Europe, however - I can just ask my dad and he'll take me there... he was actually thinking of taking me out to Germany to see Rammstein just because he's sick of not-traveling...
Anyway, Egypt rocks *nods* and it's ancient history does too... Can feel the purest of love <<

There are quite a few foreign countries I'm interested in as far as history and culture, but none I'd actually travel to.

>> Only the blackest of heartsI just plan it all out - make sure I hit everything at a good time of year, and in the case of Egypt, make sure I am up-to-date on all diseases and foreigner threats at the time, want to hit those right - and I probably wouldn't go in summer, too hot. I'd probably do it during the spring - but by the default of that sentence, I'll have to be out of college first. Canada and England - I've already been to them and intend to spend many years living in them. Then, of course, there is Germany and Japan - probably wouldn't want to live in either until I was fluent in the languages, but they are nice, civilized, clean places, so I would totally visit them, multiple times Can feel the purest of love <<

Is this the cure?
I haven't really studied Egyptian mythology since the third grade, but I remember loving it to absolute death. I believe my favorite was Isis though what she was goddess of I can not remember. I know she was married to Osiris and I do believe there was one story where they were madly in love. Though I could be mixing myths up. sweatdrop Or is it the disease?

Third grade is when we started learning it too, though the next time we heard about it was three years later in sixth. And yes, Osiris and Isis are married. They are also brother and sister.

Brothers and sisters marrying were common then, though. Like Zeus and Hera... Okay, bad example. But anyhow, sisters and brothers were sort of okay because people were naive to the fact of hereditary disorders.

I know, but I wasn't sure if she remembered that little detail. I'm sure they didn't have any hereditary problems (because, you know, they're the almighty gods), although I did read that Vulcan, the Roman god of fire, did have some form of mild problem with his feet. And inbreeding seemed to work for Oedipus quite well... until he found out about it and everyone started committing suicide. xd
