That's right. Just like last time with the Royal Rumble predictions, this here thread is your predictions for who the winner of Money in the Bank at Mania 23 will be. This is all the guys in the match:
Edge/CM Punk/Matt Hardy/Finlay/Jeff Hardy/King Booker/Mr. Kennedy/Randy Orton
(I say Orton as the last guy because it's painfully obvious that they're gonna do a Carlito/Flair program for Mania)
Now, without reading any spoilers about who's gonna win it, or anything, just throw out your gut predictions.
Who do I want to win? Shelton Benjamin. Yes, he's not in the match, but should've been. Let's face it, Shelton MADE the MitB match. And it's bull that they didn't put him in it this year. Because this was his year to win it.
My choice: MISTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH KENNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDYYYYYYYYYYY.... .... .... KENNEDY!!!! That's right. I can feel it. When I started thinking about MitB, Shelton was always my top choice, but if there was anyone I'd want to get it besides him, it's Kennedy. I'm totally digging this guy. He's good on the mic, he's got him a nice heel gimmick, and the man has really stepped up his game. (His match with Benoit on SD a couple of weeks back was really good. Yeah, it's Benoit, but Kennedy actually held his own.) After I saw Kennedy carry Batista, and have the male crowd behind him, I knew it was time for him to claim what should be his, the World title. I'm not saying he has to win immediately, but I want him walking leaving out Mania with that briefcase in his hand.

Who I think should win: FINLAY
C'mon, Finlay would ******** revolutionize the briefcase. It wouldn't just be a briefcase. It would be a fighting briefcase that the Little b*****d would constantly be in a power struggle with. Who can gain the affection of Finlay and be tossed around to finish those who dare fight with the Irish; Little b*****d or Briefcase? And think about the possibility of Finlay main eventing a PPV in a singles match with whoever the champion may be. The buyrates would be through the roof! If there's one man who can help Smackdown reclaim it's former B show glory it's Finlay.
Who I think should lose: CM ******** that guy.

They'll probably give it to Edge again this year to keep his "undefeated" streak alive, it can lead to an interesting program with Orton where both fight over the MITB.

First off, I can't BELIEVE you guys would vot AGAINST the Batista/Taker match being Main Event. Yes, Shawn won the Battle Royal, but Undertaker has gone to FIFTEEN Wrestle Manias in a row now, and hasn't - thus far failed to deliver a W. Now granted, Batista sucks. Batista has always sucked. He lacks the endurance to have a decent long match, and quite honestly isn't the most tallented guy on the WWE Roster, but Deadman is a GREAT reason to place the match as a Main Event. I can't see them putting the Animal over Taker.
Obviously Lashey is going to win the Billionaire battle, Trump wouldn't get involved with this to lose his hair. Let's be real.
Who do I WANT to win the Raw title? Shawn, obviously. Cena sucks. He's a terrible wrestler, and seeing him fail at his previous SIX heel turn attempts has brought me to despise him in the ring. WWE has done a TERRIBLE job selecting champions recently, and have made it painfully obvious that in the WWE a title counts for nothing more than a prop. I see a title retain. Damn it.
I'm looking forward to the MitB this year. Now I'm not really up-to-date on all this, since I don't pay CLOSE attention to wrestling anymore, but I would LOVE for Jeff Hardy to be in the match and to WIN... But that's only because I'm a Jeff Hardy Mark... Chances are that Carlito will walk away with it... or Flair could magically get it down. Either way, I can see the storylines going this way.... IF they go this way....
Shawn walks away Raw Champ. Carlito gets MitB. Carito and Flair continue their storyline while Shawn continues to battle Orton (alternatively, Cena could retain and fued once more with Edge)... Anyway, the Victor at Wrestlemania will retain through the storyline, and Carlito will turn in the MitB and WIN. He'll then give a shot to Flair. Flair is a GREAT worker, and he still has the gift... I can see them giving him another push before it's too late.
Then again, I could be COMPLETELY wrong on all counts.

Well, first of all, Carlito and Flair aren't going to be in MitB, as I showed all of it's participants already. Now, Taker/Tista is getting the short end of the stick because Tista is horrible. Even if the Taker can carry people, he works better with smaller guys. Taker/Tista will be short of a train wreck, with Taker probably calling all the spots of the match since all Tista can do is clotheslines, shoulder thrusts, spinebuster, and Batista Bomb. Tista is too slow and stiff in that ring, where as Taker is much more agile. I see this match being like Taker's match last year with Mark Henry. I'd much rather see Benoit/MVP take that spot then have to go through this match as the main event of Mania. Now onto the Cena part. I respect your opinion of him, but I have to say, since last year, Cena has stepped his game WAY up. He has mastered the art of being a face and wrestling as a face. His feud and PPV matches with Umaga showed this. HBK has had great matches these past Mania's besides his one with Vince. Besides MitB, Shawn's matches have come close to stealing the show recently. In my honest opinion, I believe that Cena/HBK will be ten times better than Taker/Tista, especially if they give those two the ME and a reasonable amount of time to put on a great match. The heel turns part, I don't know what you mean by that. Cena has been face ever since he came to Raw and has stayed face the entire time. And Carlito won't be anywhere close to the top title this year. He's no where near being ready. He still needs to discover himself in that ring instead of doing a bunch of useless flips and stealing a bunch of indy moves. He's better off being heel because he's stale as a face.

Told you I paid little to no attention. Since I couldn't agree more about Batista sucking it up, and being useless for anything more than 15 minutes... (IF THAT)... I'll skip straight to Cena. Cena was supposed to have a heel turn before the last wrestlemania. They were going to use it as a reason for HHH to flip to face and DX to come together. Cena lost control of the crowd with his (as usual) shitastical promo, and was being CHEERED instead of his desired result. Then came the week AFTER wrestlemania. Once again he delievered so-so promo in Canada, attempting to turn heel. It was so unbelieveable, and his face was so panicked about "Oh s**t, I can't turnheel, I lack the dexterity" that EDGE had to come out while Cena was STILL IN THE RING and cut a promo dissing his OWN nation, fairly close to his home town. That was NOT scripted. Cena blew it. Like usual. Since then he has had several oppertunities handed to him to turn heel that he was expected by the WWE to take. He failed each time. If you watch his promos, it's because he has no crowd control. Not like HHH, who can have you loving him, hating him, loving him, hating him, hating him more than you thought humanly possible, and then loving him so much you want to elect him POPE in a five minute promo. Cena knows ONE type of promo. "Uh... I talk, so all of you cheer now." And to correct you, when Cena FIRST debuted he was heel in the WWE. A damn good one. I think he forgot how now, though. And at first the white rapper gimmick was cute. His first Royal Rumble appearance rap was very entertaining, but since then we have seen his reccord released and flop, and he hasn't freestyled since. His 'gimmick' is dead. He's just generic blue collar, perpetual underdog guy that everyone feels the need to cheer for. They need to find a way to do something with him. Injure him again or something. I haven't liked him since he came back from the F-5 to a pole. And while I must agree he has improved by BOUNDS.... that still puts him no where near even Sandman's wrestling abilities. Okay, so sandman was an over-exadgeration, but the Ultimate Warrior wouldn't be. Yeah, the Warrior was unsafe in the ring, and didn't know the show was scripted... but at least he looked good doing it. Except on his own finisher... weird o.0

Who do I think should've been in? Benjamin and Carlito
-I'm on the waggon for this one. Benjamin made the MitB popular with his daredevil moves. Carlito should be in this ladder match because he has lost an incredible amount of steam over the course of this past year. A big match like this could've boosted him back into success. Flair/Carlito seems likely for WM, but I wouldn't be surprised if they pull it off the card. That's E for ya.
Who do I think shouldn't be in it? Edge and Orton
-Why are these two in this match?!!! These two already have enough going on between them to have a rahnkin match at WM! MitB is a match that should be used to hype up mid-card talents to help push their careers, and both Orton and Edge are already up there. They don't need this match, and that's why they'll win.
Who do I want to win? Punk
-"All the hustlas they love it, just to see one of us make it."
Who is going to win? Orton and Edge.
-It'll be a simutaneous grab a** onto that briefcase. They'll feud for it like it was a belt over the course of a few months, and then come to realize that they will be forced to use it together, at the same time, in a Triple Threat match with the champ whenever they both can agree to the time and place.

currently debateing, Randy, edge, and Kennedy. If any of the 3 win, i'll be happy... you know what, ********, Whom ever wins the match i'll enjoy. But im going to lay down my prediction as Edge. Why? Because he is quite possibly one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, and he is Canadain.. and im biased.. Bla.
why this prediction is short....
it has no reasons to be long..

Who Should Win: Mistah Kennedy
-He's on fire with crowds, despite being Lashley's b***h recently, and he's starting to look like the main eventer that Vince wants him to be.
Who Will Win: Edge -or- Mistah Kennedy.
-There's really only 3 ways to cash in the MITB: 1. Cash it in at an event where the champion will be at a disatvangage. (Done) 2. Cash it in after the champ has been through a grueling match. (Done) 3. Cash it in THAT NIGHT and get the surprise factor after the champ defends his title. (Not Done)
I think that's how it's gonna go this year, and I think it'll happen to Taker, which is why I think Cena/Shawn will main-event to give the fans a happy ending.

Yeah, the Warrior was unsafe in the ring, and didn't know the show was scripted... but at least he looked good doing it. Except on his own finisher... weird o.0 Okay, where are you getting all this information about Cena was going to turn heel numerous times? Last year, there was never a time where he was supposed to turn heel because he was the E's biggest face, even if he drew mixed crowd reactions, every time he stepped into one of those rings, the crowd was always giving a reaction. He was never supposed to turn heel when he faced H. That was supposed to be a Face vs Heel match at Mania 22. Why would you turn the guy who's making Vince tons of cash off his merchandise heel? Cena was supposed to stay face in the Edge/Cena feud because that's just retared to suddenly change him heel and have him feud with the guy who is now one of the biggest heels in the E. Again, I have no clue where you get your information. And to re-correct you, I never said anything about Cena never being heel. I said he's been face ever since he came to Raw. I know he was a heel before on Smackdown, that's how I ended up liking him. His debut album actually debuted at #15 on the Billboard charts, so for a record that didn't have any radio play (at least not in Detroit), and didn't have any video's playing on MTV or BET, I'd say that's pretty darn good. And finally, I believe Cena knows what to do in that ring now, after mastering the craft of wrestling face, and you think Ultimate Warrior is better than him, so at least we can agree to disagree. Cena aside, I'm enjoying these predictions you guys are coming up with. Hated, that would be a crazy twist, but like you, I believe that Edge and Orton really shouldn't be in this match. And like you Rich, that would be straight up OUT COLD if whoever won MitB cashed it in that very night.

Just to irriderate on the H - Cena thing... With Cena's promo, they were supposed to reverse roles. You noticed HBK getting into the mix SLIGHTLY then, H was supposed to go face and Cena heel, and H was going to have the belt as a face and form DX with Shawn.
That causes me to wonder now if Shawn won't have the belt by the time H gets back.
And no, I don't REALLY think the warrior is better than anyone... Not anyone still around, anyway. I was just trying to illistrate how far he still has to come. They're expecting him to carry the company without the ammount of charisma that is needed. Or maybe ammount isn't the right word. Maybe KIND would be a more accurate term. He has all the FACE charisma in the world, but after a while, people get sick of cheering for you.
Case in point, Hollywood Hulk Hogan. The heel turn for Hogan was VITAL to his career. Soon enough it will be the same story for Cena. He's got to pull the heel turn within the next year and a half if he wants to keep the sort of momentum he has now (unless he becomes the rock and only shows up once every 23 months). I think most REAL fans prefer him heel anyway. Some people are just more appealing from one side or the other. I prefer Orton as a face.
He is better. MUCH better, but not HBK better. I say strap the belt on shawn for a couple months, keep Cena active and learning from the vets, and when DX is ready for whatever storyline they have cooking for them this time around, they can find some goofy way to retain until the title gets screwed away from them or whatever. I think that would be the wisest decision on behalf of the WWE.

I'd also like to note that I think that if they're gonna go with the 'heel cashes it in that night' scenario, that it would have to be either Edge or Kennedy since both have been shown to be a. Utter and complete dicks and b. Smarter than the average heel.
Also, with 7 other people in the match, E/K could simply hang out and stay out of the way until everyone destroys everyone else, then climb up and take it. Crowd would s**t on it, but it makes sense from their perspective.

THE MIGHTY ACE CHIMES IN!! Alright, here's the thing. I don't hate heels. I just hate the ones in the MitB. Edge is overrated, has been since he got his title shot last year, needs to concentrate on rebuilding himself before getting more title shots. Kennedy... too much mouth, not enough fight. Let him do his own damn intro, then shut him the hell up so we can see something besides his mouth in action. Drag Queen Booker T-Bag... nuff said. Finlay... is a b***h. And as for Orton... well, I guess I can't really hate Orton, I didn't like the heel turn but he's still one of the guys I like. I WANT to see Punk or Jeff walk away with the briefcase. However, Punk still has some building to do on himself, and Jeff still hasn't proven himself in matches with some bigger names. Matt has been built up for some time, but hasn't recieved a decent title shot. The only reason I don't want to see him come out is because his hype has dropped, so I personally think he needs to rebuild it a bit before getting a push like this. SO... in conclusion: Who I WANT to come out on top: Jeff Hardy/CM Punk Who will probably walk away with the ******** or Kenya Killme
