Well, today when I got home from work, there were two little packages of anime DVDs and videos just sitting in the front door. Took them in, looked through them, and found one of the DVDs with 'Cutie Honey' written all over it (these were all recorded).
I was wondering if this was the OVA (that I really don't prefer to see...) or the Live-Action that I was kind of curious to see. Then, I remembered that I had E-mailed my mom's friend (the one that loves anime) asking about how those Live-Action Anime movies were. In it, I mentioned Cutie Honey.
Ok, I popped it into my laptop, and watched the whole thing. My thoughts...?
Mmm....well, I know for one thing that a happy fanboy might like this. It was kind of amusing to see CGed Honey twirling in the air like a rubbery..toy... For some odd reason, it was kind of cool to see them try to imitate the original Honey anime.
But...the villians (Golden, Cobalt, Black and Scarlet Claw) were kind of...pathetic (ok, except Black Claw...kind of).
Guess the only thing I enjoyed seeing was the opening animation of it, and the catchy theme song. It was interesting that they used parts of the animation to also tell the story...
Seiji (the guy that assists Natsuko and Honey) kind of made me chuckle a bit, because he was wearing that ol' 70's fashion.
Has anyone else watched this by chance?
