Story Of The Year is a punk band that formed in 1996 under the name Big Blue Monkey. This name was changed in 2002 because there was a blues band out there called Blue Monkey. Before 2003, the band created and released 3 EP albums (All of which never really sold), and in September 2003, they released their debut album:
Page Avenue. The album debuted at #51 on the Billboard charts and has gone gold. Page Avenue spawned 3 singles: "Until The Day I Die", "Anthem Of Our Dying Day" and "Sidewalks". The video for "Anthem Of Our Dying Day" was directed by Joe Hahn of Linkin Park, whom they later toured with. In 2004 the members got involved in a brawl with the crew members of Godsmack (The crew started the fight because the members of Godsmack were upset at Story's awesome live performance). They ended up losing the fight. In October 2005, they released their next album:
In The Wake Of Determination which debuted at #19 on the Billboard chart. It also spawned the singles "We Don't Care Anymore" and "Take Me Back". Their next album is due out sometime later this year. They also do have a tendency to sometimes scream in their songs.
