yo. i would like to organize a meetup.
me and boco live right around houston.
she is in collge right now though in like... somewhere.
shes gonna be back this summer and ill be in houston most of the summer so thats 2 allready and more would be MOAR BETTER.
so lets talk about it.

when i was researching lolita tea parties for my research paper, i came across this website: http://www.iwannabeapirate.com/sweettea/ im not sure about how close houston and dallas are because i dont live in texas anymore and, by now, have forgotten where everything is. i think theyre both in texas.... hope that site is helpful. it has some tips for organizing such events also. if anybody hears anything about lolita gatherings in the cincinnati area, northwest florida, or the tallahassee area, PLEASE let me know. thanks. heart ~liz

I am here and in Houston and just realized -- it would be a blast to have a photoshoot. I've been dying to take photos of people, but there's no one around lately for me to aim at.
Anyone feel like getting together for a picnic/outing where I can go shutter-clicking-crazy?

And I ... ... have a skirt that I made myself, no petticoat, and an outfit I bought from Cloudy that I'm currently tearing to pieces to make wearable. .:cough:.
... no worries on that, though! :3
Doesn't necessarily have to be lolita, just fun and photo-friendly.

We need to figure it all out though.
Obviously, we need a meeting place and time--we also need to figure out how to get everyone there. You're in Austin, which isn't a huge drive, but I doubt that you'd be wanting to be driving either really early or really late. Hrm.
Ahhhhh. Let's see if we can get more people interested and then try it?

Still trying, yes, but dunno how well we're doing? There's four of us so far, and at least two of us don't have anything lolita to actually, y'know. Wear.

Also, I'm leaving town on the 12th to go back to uni. Uhm.
Does anyone have any ideas on how/where/when to meet? Or should we scrap it for now and try to make more solid plans for next summer/spring?

Don't worry about it too much.
Some friends of mine who went called me yesterday while I was on my way home to inform me that the con was small, disorganized, and really not all that fun.
