Here's where you post what books, videogames, websites, shows, movies, etc. either inspire you to love your side or hate the other. Things you simply enjoy are permitted, as well.
As for myself, I just started reading Treasure Island. Excellent read. Stevenson himself wrote the first ten odd chapters at a chapter per day, and I'm reading them at a clipper's speed. After that's done, I'll be finishing The Count of Monte Cristo, which I started some time ago then leant to the Commodour (Captain Skipper). I also have to continue watching Naruto. I believe I'm somewhere around episode 160 or so. I'll have to check. I have yet to finish George Orwell's 1984, and I have a ton of other unread books that I need to catch up on. Shirlock Holmes included.

;D Perhaps Brian Jacques's Castaways of the Flying Dutchman Series. Including The Angel's Command, and Voyage of Slaves: A Tale From Castaways of the Flying Dutchman. it really is a wonderful little series.

Derbie83 Wut knid of books would u recomend the best to read?? Robinson Crusoe, Treasure Island, the Count of Monte CristoNaruto (manga), Jiraiya Goketsu Monogatari,..... See if you can find something on the legend of Sasuke. The Naruto character was named after the most famous ninja of legend, so that'd be a good find....

This is a website that is very good for learning how things came to be, the tools of the trade, different types of pirates, and just all-around piratical reference. http://blindkat.hegewisch.net/pirates/pirates.htmlCheck it out! Quite nifty, in my opinion. And as for other media, I do suggest any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies (duh...), but they are not very accurate. ...I just love Captain Jack Sparrow, is all blaugh heart . Captain Jack Sparrow is accurate.
