The Choices You Make My Chemical Romance got big- really big. They have fans all over the world, people ready to lay down their life for them, sky-rocketing record sales, and more money than they would ever need in their life. But what happens when it’s not enough? What happens when the fame and the fortune is no longer enough to fill the emptiness inside? What happens when the music no longer heals? What do you do..?
You go back to the roots.
You go back to the choices you made…
To the old flames
The old friends
The old life
And what happens then-
When Gerard sees that crush from high school that never got realized?
When Mikey sees that best friend who’s now married with kids?
When Ray faces the girlfriend that broke his heart?
When Frank realizes how alone he really is?
What happens?
Well... It’s all about the choices you make. Sorry if the intro was a little overdramatic and dumb, but I hope you get the gist. This is an RP exploring what would happen if My Chem was unhappy with band life and decided to go back home and rekindle the relationships they left behind. I'm currently working on getting this all together, but I think you can guess who the main charaters will be (Gerard, Mikey, Ray, and Frank, and eventually Bob as well) and if you want to start sending me applications, then go ahead. RULES 1. This is a semi-literate rp. I'm not expecting spelling to be perfect, nor do I want the greatest writers in the world, I just want literacy. No asterisks please. Write in sentence form. That means no *smiles* or *lol*. 2. Follow the general Guild rules. Please keep everything PG-13. Nothing past kissing. No blood, guts, and god complexes. I don't mind cussing, but please try to keep it under control. This is not a sailor rp. Mmmkay? Thanks.3. If you apply for a major character, make the effort to post at least once a week. I'm not asking you to live on gaia, I just want you to post. Its very difficult to maintain a rp when the main characters aren't participating. If I must, I will impliment a rule for minimum post and give away parts. 4. If you are a major character and you're going to be away for some time, please let me now in a pm and cleverly maneuver you charater to a place where you won't be needed in the story until you come back. 5. No more than two characters per person please. This may change later, but for now, that's the rule. 6. If you are playing more than one character, your other character cannot be the opposite to your original character. That is to say, if you originally started playing Gerard, your second character cannot be Gerard's love interest. It takes away the contrast and you'll end up catering only to your needs. *rules are subject to be changed and more may be added later. Check the announcements each time you post to see if such has been done*

CHARACTERS Gerard Way:
Age: 29
Story: Lead Vocalist for My Chemical Romance. He has recently grown wary of the band life and longs to return home to his home town to a more simplistic life. Upon returning, he finds his old crush from high school, still single yet still unaware of Gerard’s feelings for her in high school. But what’s worse, those feelings are still there.

Age:26
Story: Bassist for My Chemical Romance. Mikey returns home with the rest of the guys and finds his best friend married and divorced with a baby girl. Things had really changed since he left. Now Mikey must decide if he’s in love with his best friend, and if that’s so, is he really ready to take on the responsibility of a kid?

Age: 29
Story: Guitarist for My Chemical Romance. Ray returns home reluctantly with old wounds from a former love still fresh in his mind. Can he face the girlfriend that tore his heart into two when the feelings for her are still there? Or will it be too much for him to bear?

Story: Guitarist for My Chemical Romance. Frank returns to New Jersey with nothing to gain and nothing to lose. His heart is heavy as he realizes that there is no “true love” waiting for him when he arrives. Will he find someone on his return and be proven wrong?

Story: Bob had left an old girlfriend behind, just up and left her. He had always thought what if, but he never had a chance to see her again. MCR had just released the album of a lifetime, what was he to do? He wasn't sure if he should look for lost loves or find a new one.

Age: 21
Character’s story: Joy was alone. Don’t get that wrong. She had friends like Mackenzie and Amber. But really and truly, she was alone. Slowly and surely she has found this fact turning her into the complete antithesis of her name. She was cold, crude, and sarcastic to those she didn’t know and it was nearly impossible for her to let anyone in. Can Joy find someone too break her icy and find out who’s underneath.
Appearance: Small framed, about 5’ 4, wears glasses but has hazel eyes, long curly brown hair, rocker attitude with a laid back rocker persona. Rarely ever smiles, always wears jeans and a t-shirt, and she hardly ever smiles.

Age: 28
Character: Mackenzie Morcobie, a late-twenties girl who still has the bundle of youth most have lost by the time they reach her age. Or so she hopes. Growing old is her one biggest fear. She's always had the same black hair that hangs in curls around her elbows and her eyes have always been the same vibrant blue.
Character’s story: I grew up with my two ridiculously protective parents, which seems to have twisted me into somewhat of a rebel. I have a serious problem with authority... always have. I was an only child, and longed for some company as I grew up, which might explain why I'm so nervous around people I don't know. I moved out of my parents house when I was only sixteen, only to move into my best friend's house. Since then I've lived in about eleven different houses, but am now settled in a somewhat crummy apartment with my cat.
Appearance: Not one to enjoy changing her appearance, Mackenzie has kept her hair as it always has been, long, curly and raven black. Her face is friendly, despite being pale and almost gaunt with high, defined cheekbones. She is most pleased with her clear blue eyes, and usually draws more attention to them by covering them with make-up. Kenzie usually wears jeans of any sort and band tees. However, she is a big fan of layering clothes, so you'd usually catch her skinny self covered with jackets, jumpers and hoodies.
RP Sample: Mackenzie let out a tired yawn, slouching forwards on the coffee-table which was merely a gift from her parents. As if she'd be able to afford a freaking coffee-table on her wage. The only other pieces of furniture were a battered couch and a small TV. There was a sudden streak of black fur from across the room, and the young adult looked up in time to see the fuzzy tale of Kizzy disappear through the door. Fixing her pale face in an amused smirk, she got clumsily to her feet and followed the fleeing cat.

Age: 25
Character's Story: Mikey and Amber had been best best friends since middle school. They were always by each other's side when they needed it. When Amber was told that Mikey was in a band, she thought it was the neatest thing. She thought that they could share stories about it, joke about how "big" this My Poisonous Whatever would turn out to be... but it wasn't like that. Mikey hit it big with his brother and the rest of the band. She was left there alone, until she found Brad. She used Brad as emotional support. She used him to fill in the emptiness of Mikey. She and Brad even got married, but Amber knew she didn't love him. Then, they had a baby. A baby girl that she named Katherine. She was left by Brad after finding out that he went off with another woman. At 25, Amber was lonely, divorced, and a mother. And then... Mikey came back...
Appearance: Amber has shoulder-length red hair, and emerald green eyes. She is very pale. She wears jeans and tee shirts, just because she can throw then on, then deal with Katherine. She has been spotted with a My Chemical Romance tee shirt on, to support the band that her best friend used to be in. Katherine is three years old, and wears black like her mom. She has a brown bob haircut and emerald eyes like her mother.
RP Sample: Amber sat on the couch of her darkened living room, watching her television. On the screen was a "Making the Video" type show that was starring My Chemical Romance. Amber knew the members personally, one more than the rest. Mikey, her best friend from seventh grade and up, was the bassist. As the premiring video came on, her baby girl Katherine began screaming. Amber raced to her crib that was across the room to comfort her. AS soon as she was done, she got back to the television, only to find that the video was over. Amber sat in silence. She had missed Mikey since the day he left to go be a "rock star" with the band. Amber loved him, but never told him. As she reached to turn off the TV, the phone rang. "Hello?" Amber answered. "Hi," the voice said. "Is this Amber?" Amber nearly dropped the phone. She was in complete shock. She looked at the caller ID and noticed it was a local call. She finally came to, and managed to say what she had been wanting to say forever. "Umm... hi Mikey..."

((Er--- I'm not exactly sure how you want to start, so I'll just start... xD))
Gerard finished packing the last of his crap into one of many bags. Last night they had had a meeting, and decided to take a break from the band for a while. Just a while... or, he'd see what happened.
He picked up his cell phone and dialed Mikey's number, "Hey Mike, I'm finished packing, just thought I'd call you..."
He, Mikey and Frank were driving back to NJ together, then were parting. He wasn't actually sure where he was going. Again, he'd see what happened.
He jumped in his car and went to pick Mikey and Frank up.

Joy looked outside the window of the tiny little bookstore she owned. It was going to be a long and boring day. Nothing ever happened in her little town in New Jersey, except the occasional drug bust and shooting, but that grew old and boring fast. She instantly wished that something would happen, something to take her mind on how miserable life was. What she didn’t know was how soon her wish was going to come and how much it would change her life. She turned quickly at the sound of a tinkling bell and watched as one of her friends entered the store.

Frank hadn’t really slept after the meeting they had last night. He wanted what was best for everyone. A brake wouldn’t be bad or that’s what he had said to himself last night when they had made the decision to have a brake. The more he was left to himself to think the more he wasn’t sure what was waiting for him back in NJ. He had nothing to loose going back. Yet he also felt a little bad knowing he had no one waiting for his return.

Mackenzie Morcobie was bored. Beyond bored. Phenomenally bored. Her eyes flitted over the titles of musty comic-books, pausing with vague interest on Hell Boy. As her lips issued a resigned sigh, she straightened up from the shelves and ruffled a hand through her ringletted, black hair. She turned her gaze to the vacant door of the book store with a faint smile. Despite the nagging boredom, today was shaping up to be a good day. She pushed her hair back and surveyed the store.

Joy watched as Mackenzie walked into the store and almost sighed in relief. If she was going to be bored, at least she would be bored with a friend. “Hey Mackenzie. How’s it going?” She asked as she sat on the checkout counter. “Have you heard the latest local gossip?”

Amber sat in her recliner with little Katherine in her lap. She brushed her fingers through the little girl's soft hair. It was about twelve in the afternoon, so it was Katherine's nap time. Amber layed her down in her crib and watched her sleep. She walked out of the room with a crazy thought in her head: "I wonder when I'll see Mikey again..." She shook her head, attempting to get the crazy thought out of her head. "Yeah, right." she thought. She walked into her living room, where the TV always seem to have Fuse on. Famous Last Words was number one again on the Rock Countdown. She sang along as she walked into the kitchen. "I am not afraid to keep on living, I am not afraid to walk this world alone..." Then, the thought of Mikey returned...

I'm sorry dearie. Our Mikey had to apply for the guild before she could post. Hopefully she will be at it this week, otherwise we'll have to work things out. But I'm glad you posted. A smile fixed itself onto Mackenzie's face at the sight of Joy. It widened at the mention of gossip. "Gossip? What gossip?" her curiosity was sparked and she tangled her fingers through the end of her hair.

Joy smirked slightly at how soon Mackenzie’s interest had been peeked by the mere mention of the word gossip. “Mmm, I don’t know if I should tell you…” Joy laughed at the look of irritation that flashed on her friends face and decided not to tease. “Well, Mrs. Greer was in here a little while ago—you know how that old bat loves to talk. According to her, we should be seeing some new faces around here soon. Or familiar faces considering how long you’ve been here.” Joy was fairly new to the town, for unlike others who had grown up there, she had moved in at 19. “Mrs. Greer says that Mrs. Ways sons should be arriving home soon. Apparently they’re in some band called…uh, My Chemical something or other and they’ve decided to take a break and come home. Everyone’s in such a tizzy about it. I don’t really see what the big deal is.” Joy shrugged dismissively. “At least there’ll be some fresh faces around here. This place is getting boring.”
