It depends what they're going to do with it. I would want to see the concept work and the story first. It might not be a bad idea as long as it doesn't take over the live action.

That's the problem. We don't know. Knowing animation's reputations, I'm thinking it's going to be 3-D. Personally, I would like to see it in 2-D animish style myself.
