Aura looked down upon the snow covered earth with curiousity having only reciently been born. He was a living contradiction, at once he was both insubstantial and more vividly alive than any around him. As he flowed through the heavens his gaze chanced upon something glinting down below. Twitching his ears he decended to see what was causing the reflection. Could it be one of his siblings down below..but no there was no water here, at least none that he could recognize as such. So if it wasn't a family member what or who could it be? He wondered as he settled down into the soft white snow.

The demi goddess of winter walked quietly in the snow, delicately placing each one of her snow-white hooves in front of the other. The lady was snow white yet shaded blue with contrasting black, a black dragon on her eye and black ice wings that glittered like the ice around her, she was completely at home in this weather. Her light ice blue eyes scanned the world around her; she was only a few months old. The demi-goddess foal sensed another presence nearby "Whos there?" she asked looking around.
The others presence had increased, who was it? The youngest demi goddess wondered, was it another god? It had to be she decided quickly. Rikka Hidenka had only felt this kind of presence around her mother a true god. Rikka walked closer toward the presence. She was only half a god would he shun her? Would he be kind to her? These questions ran through her mind for the first time. Around other mortals they were much more accepting her Eldest sister Skadi had told her.
Rikka Hidenka sauntered with grace toward the presence and saw another foal. “Hello” she called politely to the god foal. Skadi had told her this morning that a new set of godly foals had been born.
“I am Rikka Hidenka” she called quietly shying away.

The glittering thing Aura had seen turned out to be a filly wandering through the the cold white expance. The power he sensed coming from her proved that she wasn't a mortal though neither was she strong enough to be a full godess. She must then be something inbetween. Though the distinction didn't really matter to him. All life was one to him, no matter weather it was mortal, goddly or demigodly.
The spirit guardian lifted his head in greeting his mane and tail seeming to flow around him growing indistinct in places as if it wasn't enterly in this world as he looked up at Rikka. "Greetings, Rikka Hidenka. I am Aura. That is a long name you have." He said as if he was weighing it somehow and found it acceptable.
"I like it. Is this where you stay?" He asked as he let his gaze wander. The cold didn't seem to bother him, but then living as he did amongst the stars he was used to the cold. "It's very bright here with all the white, it's like looking into a star. No wonder I could see this place from so far away. It's beautiful."

The demi goddess smiled glad she had found some sort of friend in this young yet ancient god.
"A pleasure to meet you Aura." Replied the quiet demi goddess Rikka nodded quietly her black ice wings fluttered lightly. "I stay here often, you are welcome here." she then offered. This was her small sanctuary of snow and ice.
Rikka was a chilly equus she loved the freezing cold. Her body radiated the same cold as the wintery scene around them. Her Power were wtill quite strong lesser than te height of the wintery season but not quite waned. Rikka gave a shy smile "I am glad you like this place, it is my quiet place to be seclued." she had atlest one place to hide from her over protective brother.

"Oh I appologize for invading your secret place, I didn't realize I was doing so. But I apprechiate the invitation to stay, thank you." The young god spoke softly giving the demi goddess a nod. "I can see why you like it here."
The young god smiled as he took in his surroundings. "Some might think it stark and lonely, but It's beautiful. My domane though diffrent in many ways shares that same solitary beauty." The flutter of Rikka's dark wings attacted his attention and the thought occured to him that if she could fly there was nothing stopping her from visiting his realm under his protection.
"Perhaps you will allow me to show it to you some time. I think you would like it there. And since I have seen your special place, it's only fair that you see mine, don't you think?" There weren't too many who would be comfortable in the vastness of the spirit realm, but somehow Aura had the feeling Rikka wouldn't have a ploblem dealing with such a place.

"No appology needed, and you are welcome." she told Aura quietly "It is perhaps a little selfish for me to keep this beautful place to myself." she flicked he tail.
"True, but all places hold their own beauty." She listened to the god speak about his domain "I would indeed love to see your domain?" she inquired his domain sounded intresting and intreaged her especially if it was anything like her beautiful snowy haven.
Rikka let out a small giggles "I suppose so." she smiled "My domain is vastly smaller than my mothers, being as it has to be divided between 6 of us." she smiled Rikka had gotten the snowy domain, one of her three brothers had heat, while the rest were Ice, frost, and winter. "Do you have any siblings?" she questioned.

"To greatly admire that wich is beautiful is not selfish," Aura replied steadfastly as he flicked his wings back folding them to his sides. "I agree, there is something to behold no mater where you are. There is beauty and uglyness in all things and places. Which one you find is largely due to what you are willing to perseve."
The young colt glanced up at the great expanse of sky before looking over at his companion. "You will be welcome there. Few are able to vist that place and many of those who do find it desolate and barren. Somehow I do not think you will see it that way." "And yes, I have siblings." Aura gave a soft bob of his head in affermation. "Actually, there are six of us as well."

Rikka was quite happy with his company, she hadn't talked to some one like this for a while, it well was nice sometimes not having her over protective brother around. "That is True enough Aura." she said agreeing. "I try and see beauty in all things."
Rikka smiled "Thank you." she replied quietly "I look forward to seeing it's beauty."
"I would love to beet your family one day" she added queitly tuning away "maybe" remebering they were gods, complete gods. She was always afraid of being scorned.

Aura watched as Rikka turned away, senseing there was more to her action than what the young demigoddess had said. Did she fear to face his family dispite her words? No, she didn't appear to be the kind who would be easily daunted. Besides she was a demigoddess herself and while gods could be imposing she had been in the presence of her own parents before. So then it had to be something other than simple fear. But what could it be? Perhaps she didn't fear his family so much as their reaction to her? After all the same thing that drew her nearer to the gods also set her appart from them. 'Yes,' Aura thought to himself. 'That must be it.'
"Don't worry about my family." Aura spoke softly gently breaking the silence that had descended as Rikka had turned away. "I can't perdict how they will react to meeting you. But whatever their reactions it dosen't change who and what you are. Only you may do that. If you know yourself and are secure in your own worth, the opinions of others will not matter. Wether they are mortals or gods it does not matter. The oppion that matters most is your own oppion."
Aura's tail wisked slowly back and forth as he spoke," In fact you are likely to recive a cold response from at least some of my relitives. Though not because of who you are or anything you have done. They simply are distant and detatched from emotion. Those who's realms deal with death and endings tend to be that way. It's simply the way of things.
But those of my siblings who are guardians of life and the living will probably be more warm toward you. For they their realms lie in the ways nurturing and loveing. They tend to be more open and accepting. Even so we are all indeviduals and I cannot say with certianty how any one of my siblings will react upon any given moment."

Rikka turned back to Aura and gave a smile slightly comforted by his words. if they were emotionally detached to begin with perhaps she wouldn't take offence to it then. Atleast she was forewarned. "Thank you." she said. True she was herself and nothing would be change that. If they didn't accept her for who she was... well, that was that and nothing would change. There would always be oppositon to a half god like her.
"I see." she said looking skyward. This day was turning out quite well. She had met a new friend and perhaps she would meet more. Rikka looked back to Aura.
"I guess that is true, unless you are a god of telepathy." she gave a gentle tease.

"Mmm I have to addmit telepathy would deffinatly be a convinent area of influence to rule," Aura laughed nodding at the teasing words his tail moving softly behind him. "Though after a while I think it would get noisesome hearing all the thoughts of all living of nonliving things. I can feel the life engergy of living things and it calls out to me, but not in words persay. And it simply is there when it is present. It's not clamoring or boisterous. I'm perfectly happy with the gifts I have been given. I like the quiet warmth of living engergy raidiating in the dark empty spaces.'
Aura made a face as he continued shaking his head. "I think I would probably go mad if I had to listen to the constant babble of thoughts all around me. What of you? Would you like to be able to read minds? Or is there another power you would fancy even more than telepathy?"

Rikka nodded "to have influance upon what others think, its good and yet dangerous." Rikka then listened to Aura talk. She nodded quietly, it would indeed be rather a pain having o many voices in yur head all t once, it would be enough to drive some insane.
"As am I," she said quietly, although sometimes shunned she was glad of who she was, and liked her demi goddess powers. They were a part of her and made her who she was.
Rikka gave some thought as to his next few questions. "I myself wouldn' t fancy such a power." she told him "I too would likely go insane, I preffer solitude more with occasional company." Rikka then shook her head "No I don't wish for any power than what I have."
"How bout you?" she inquired "Is there a power you would rather have?"

Aura considered for a moment and then shook his head. "No, I don't think so. I am happy being who I am. After all I ride the rushing tide that makes up the living energy of all things. If I were seperated from that no matter what gift I were given in return I would feel hollow. In fact I can hardly imagain it, the astral line is so much a part of me.
The godling smiled at Rikka taking a breath before continuing. "I believe we are given our gifts for a reason. You can't chose what you are given, but I don't think it's chance that we come to be who we are."
Tilting his head the white and blue colt laughed softly. "Did I asnswer your question? I tend to ramble a bit sometimes."

Rikka nodded “I too believe that,” she smiled kindly “I don’t know what I would do without my powers.” She agreed. Even though she was only a demi goddess she was quite attached to her wintry powers. Rikka then shook her head “I enjoyed listening I didn’t find you rambling at all.”
The white demi goddess nodded “yes you have answered my question completely. Rikka looked around her haven. This was her place filled with solitary beauty, and now some how she had some one to share it with. Some one her own age too a new friend. It was nice. She thought.
“Is there something you would like to do on the material plane?” she tried to ask her voice but a whisper.

"Did I have something to do here on the material?" Aura repeated as he considered Rikka's question in a slow quiet way that made it seem as if he were contemplating life itself. Eventually he shook his head giving the mare a smile.
"No not really. I was mearly wandering. I had no real purpose in coming here besides simple curiosity. It is in my nature I suppose, the stream of life keeps moving and so must I."
Turning his head the young god gave Rikka a wink. "Though I don't mind pausing once in a while, especially when the scenery is so breathtaking."
