~What are some other shows you like? Movies? Books? Comics?
Personally, I love Invader Zim, Stephen King books, Avatar, and Destroy All Humans! 2, among other things. ^^

I love Disney's Aladdin and Treasure Planet, The Truman Show, Emily the Strange, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, Atlas Shrugged, Cardcaptor Sakura, Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon, and FLCL. Those are probably my top favorites, though I also love Invader Zim.
I wish I had gotten into Avatar. I wanted to, but our Nick channel here isn't as consistent as it is in the States. sad

~Ooo, Treasure Planet is my favourite Disney movie! ^^ I love it so. heart I want to get the Johnny the Homicidal Maniac comics, but I've never been able to find them, alas. The wikipedia entry was made of win and awesome, though.
I loved Sailor Moon and Card Captor Sakura when they were on, and I think I've read a volume of FLCL, but I don't know the other things. What are they? ^^
Oh, but I'm into Invader Zim, since it started playing here a few months ago. ^^ It's too bad you couldn't watch them on youtube now, all the episodes were up there until Viacom started being idiots. sad

Another Treasure Planet fan? eek I don't meet other fans too often. Jim Hawkins is pretty much the only boy I've ever had a crush on, and he's not even real.
Atlas Shrugged is a really long book by Ayn Rand that you'll probably never take the time to read, but they're going to make a movie of it with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt as the stars (Jolie's an awesome choice, but I'm not sure about Pitt), so go see it! Emily the Strange is also being made into a movie, so see that, too! The best way to learn about her is to go to emilystrange.com. The art style was what first got me interested. biggrin
I've decided not to be too upset with Viacom. I guess they're just trying to protect what's theirs.

I'm actually more likely to read the book than see the movie, as libraries are free and I have no money. xd Oh, is that the girl with the cats one the cool shirts and other clothes and stuff? I'd watch a movie of her, that art style is quite neat. 3nodding Eh, it's not really a sound decision, though. I mean, they aren't really going to get any more money by keeping their stuff off Youtube. The people who won't bother to watch the show on TV when they can get it tiny, blurry, and broken into pieces online aren't going to suddenly start watching the channel because it's no longer on Youtube, and they're losing the chance to get some more people interested and watching because they've seen a sample there. It's lose/lose.

That song is beyond awesome. heart The first time I saw Jim in a trailer for the movie, I just thought he looked really tired, like he just didn't get enough sleep the night before. Then, I realized that he's amazingly handsome, even more so than Danny, which my fellow DP friends thinks is impossible.
It's a great book, but it's really, really long and incredibly persuasive. You have to read it without letting yourself get caught in the ideas too much. What most people get out of it is that Rand is encouraging people to be selfish. I guess that's what I find brilliant about it; she's able to make something generally frowned upon look right. It also presents a question you may have heard before: Who is John Galt?
Yup, that's the one. I wish I could get away with being like her, but my parents would never approve.
I guess that's true. I still don't think of them as "the bad guys" like others do, though. I understand where they're coming from even if it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

~Pfft. Jim is totally more handsome than Danny. For one thing, he's not square. And he's got that whole 'wrong side of the tracks' thing going for him. heart
The trailer I saw was all action, but I was still 'omg must see gimme' because that solar surfer is the most awesome thing there's never been. 3nodding
I shall check at the library tomorrow, it sounds great. I love books like that, that make you identify with something you normally wouldn't. ^^ I do believe I've read that question before.
It would be difficult to be like that in real life, I'd think. Though sometimes I'm tempted to dye my hair some strange colour one day and see what comments I get. ^^
Oh, they're not 'the bad guys', (though it's fun to pretend it sometimes XD) and they're just doing what they think they should, I suppose. I just think that their policies aren't in their best interests, but they can do whatever they want. ^^

~The Lion King was a nice movie. And if liking kiddie shows makes us pathetic, I don't want to be... normal? XD

Kiddie shows are the best! Sometimes, I feel like just staying home from school and watching Nick Jr. all day like I used to. Of course, that was back when Nick Jr. was fun. It's not as fun as it used to be.
I like The Lion King, but I guess I don't find it as compelling as most. I fall asleep during some of the scenes in the middle, then I wake up for the super-cool fight between Simba and Mufasa.
I miss Rocket Power. It wasn't an amazing show or anything, but it was still fun to watch.

~I <3 my Family Channel and YTV. ^^ I remember the days of watching Dexter's Laboratory, Bugs Bunny, and Stickin' Around with much sentimentality. I wish those were still on where I could see 'em. emo
Ooo, yes, that scene's probably the best one. I actually preferred the sequel for some reason I cannot identify. ^^;
Rocket Power? I don't think I know that one.

it was on nick they sometimes put it on at 7 in the morning on saturdays. i watch at least 12 hours of little kid programming a week and it really makes me want to kill certain shows like the wiggles are annoying they are an Austrailian barney. but that is my opinion.

Am I the only one that doesn't hate Barney? I used to watch it and loved it, and even now when I watch it, it's very nostalgic.

~I was quite the Barney-obsessed little sprog when I was younger. ^^ I still have my old Barney puppet from then, I think... :nostagias: I don't think I could watch it now, though. Would ruin it for me. ^^;
Anyone remember Lamb Chop? Which, thinking about it now, is a rather creepy name for a lamb, isn't it? XD

Lamb Chop was so much fun! I used to watch it all the time. You know, I never actually thought about the name before. It does seem kind of strange.
I also used to watch Dinosaurs, which I really miss now. The last episode was surprisingly different and like—whoa! I should buy the DVDs.
