Wind Clan: Abilities and History

This clan has been split in two. Those of one people, and of similar mind, there are two distinct divisions within the clan. The two are the Floating City dwellers, and the dwellers of the ground.

They differ greatly between their doctrines and policies. Those of the floating city wish to have nothing to do with the lesser beings on the ground, even their own people. They stay out of all things that happen bellow, as well as work on their magic abilities. They have great ships that can fly through the air. These ships are powered by their great air magic.

The second half of the air clan are those that live in the ground. These people have a good standing relationship, though they are disappointed with their own lands. They live high in the mountains, where the crops don't grow well. They believe that they are the greatest and best civilization known for all time, a trait they share with the city dwellers. They have put pressure on the relations between themselves and the fire clan. Though the fire clan does not know, the Air clan has plans of their own.

All people within the air clan can control air flows around them, making gusts and wind as needed. They can move faster, giving that they know how to use their powers for this. The well trained air mages can even summon lightning upon their foes, though at great strain to themselves. They are also very good at stealth magics, hiding themselves from normal view, and dampening the sounds around them. They can even make sounds louder, creating thunder without lightning, though they need some kind of sound to amplify first.

Earth Clan: Abilities and History

This clan is considered to be Savages by the other clans. These people live in the trees, being one with the nature and earth around them. They train beasts to protect their homes, and to help them on the hunt. They use their earth lure to help them them track their pray.

They have the abilities to commune with nature, move rocks, and even define mineral deposits. Their lands are surrounded by mostly mountains, keeping them safe from most attacks. They also happen to have the largest land mass under their control. They use their earth powers to keep these lands from the raids.

Water Clan: Abilities and History

These are the prideful water mages. This clan are known for their calm emotions, and calculated moves and strategies. They are like the ocean. They can be calm and peaceful, but also a horrifying force when the need arises. They have had many squabbles with the fire clan, and almost never talks to the earth clan. They have some relations to the aloof air clan, though there is barely any communication anymore.

They use the powers of water for their attacks. They can move nearby waters to their will, but can not create any water. Some of the more skillful mages can pull water from the air, though there never is much. Ice can be used by those few that are born with that gift. Not all water mages can use ice skills. They can move ice, but can not bend, mold or create it unless they contain the gift.

This clan lives most of their lives on the open waters, having many boats at their command. Only the most prestigious water clan warriors have boats made of metal, and only then do they have them by stealing these crafts from the Fire clan. Not many fire claners are willing to ride such a craft, but some do go out for fish. The Fire clan has come to fear the waters, thanks in part to the many raids from the water clans.

Fire Clan: Abilities and History

These are the fierce warriors of the plains. They are known to build immense structures out of metal, which they use their powers over the flame to melt and purify. They also have the most technologically advanced weapons and armor of all the clans.

Their lands are surrounded primarily by water, making invasions from the water clan a constant threat. Fire users hate the water, and try to never leave land. They usually throw fire attacks at the wooden ships/canoes of any watery invaders. They fairly good relations with the air clan, though lately those relations have been feeling an odd strain.

The Fire clan mages can make fire from the air, and can throw it at their opponents. They can project walls of fire and even make small pools of lava. They can make smoke for signals, though they can not control the smoke itself. They are also not afraid to rush into close combat with their iron and steel swords.
