I was just wondering if any of you guys ever do any mudding, I used to be absolutely glued to the screen addicted on and off for about 3 years...
I had one character in my favorite mud called "The final Chapter" My character was Jillian, a vampire that was REALLY quested up and so last night when I went to bed I couldn't get it off my mind and I was remembering all the commands and past battles so I logged on trying to find it and *tear* somewhere between last year and now it must have been diabled my great character more then a zillion hours lost into cyber space crying

BUT!! out of the ashes, I'm on the search again today for a new pking mud and thought I'd see if anyone had any suggestions

*SQUEAL* SO!

I come home for work and am relating some of the days stories to my girlfriend, talkin about muds bla bla bla out of the blue she's like "Oh you mean that Vampire Wars game you used to play constantly" and I'm all eek surprised !!!!!!!!! She remembered the name of the mud I was trying to find lastnight and then after 5 minutes of mind searching I remembered the password to my character and I was back at it! Ahh she's my angel, always lookin out for my 6!!! heart

A MUD is a 'Multi User Domain' It started out as just plain text adventures. It's actually where WoW, Everquest and etc. got started.

It's your usual run around fight monsters get experience and gold and get cool gear.

The basis can be anything from go around killing everything and everyone to purely RP with almost no fighting at all. There are also other dirivitives (Moos and Mucks) that are mainly chats set in a world (Kind of like SecondLife, but again all text)

I used to play Troll Wars, but that was closed down maybe... 8 years ago atleast. Then I moved to building/ coding them for a few years. I play Planes of Dominion for about four years, but it never really got going. I haven't played dedicated now for about three years.

Materia Magica is my prime MUD. Though I take several month long leaves from it and the other MUDs I play. Nodeka is another I got into for awhile. And I tried a couple of MUSHes, as well. Yuriba is the one I did the most with. And I ended up never signing on again after my character got a girlfriend. An old roleplay buddy got me to play another...but I forget what it was.

Yeah for me It's like I can't do both Gaia and Muds, I get real big on either one or the other then can't put it down, right now its Gaia, my clannies on Vampwars are gonna be pissed at me though I'm sure, I was just about to take the position of Justicar *Shrug* its cool though
