OoC|| ...do we just go with that, or wait?

(OoC: Just go!)

A'Marie was down on the pitch with Sleeper. She had set him downi nthe stands and headed out onto the field since their try outs were first. She hoped that the captain this year would pick out a nice new chaser. Two of their previous chasers graduated the year previous. She mounted her broom and was warming up in the air.

OoC|| *sigh* Fine... I'm tempted to make Grunge an Animagus, too...that would be plageristic and exciting at the same time. ^^

BiC|| Beth shivered slightly and dug a pair of crimson and gold armwarmers out of her robes, sliding them onto her wrists. She had a tendency to be cold when it wasn't really that cold, but when Winter began blowing her ungodly chill winds, Beth was perfectly fine. Something about having been born in a cold country, presumably. She tucked her chin down into the thick folds of her scarf and glanced at Grunge. The cat had decided to follow her to the stands, and she didn't see a problem. Grunge was her own person, after all. And she had impeccable taste in butter. Beth glanced back at the open pitch, shivering from more than just cold as her eyes fastened themselves to A'Marie as the Slytherin girl flew gracefully. She tore her eyes away and shook her head, discomfited.

Steve wandered down to the field from the top of the stands. She carried her broom with near reverance. Her dad had made it for her when they were staying in Africa. About halfway down the steps, she leaped off the stands throwing her broom underneath her. For a split second it seemed as though her broom would let her fall to her death, or at least serious injury, and then she was zooming straight towards A'Marie.

A'Marie laughed loudly and her vioce echoed off the stadium. She swerved tword Steve on a straight colision course. But she stopped with millimeters to spare. "How are you feeling today my dear Steve?" She asked smiling. SHe absolutly adored flying. But it was even more fun with Steve, she recounted teh numerous times when her and Steve would fly around her own pitch.

"Oh you know me. The day is always better when there is nothing between you and falling death but a glorified stick." Steve laughed so hard that her broom rolled over. She dangled upside down from her broom and glanced back up at A'Marie. She laughed hysterically as she righted herself again. "So, I acutally thought I'd try out for once. Instead of wallowing in my disdane for such public demonstrations of prowess. Aren't you ever so proud of me?"

"Oh I am my dear! So proud so proud!" A'Marie manged to get out inbetween the laughter. She was indeed very glad that Steve would be lfying with her this year. She was ever so entertaining.

Gustav watched the Slytherin tryouts and wasn't surprised to see that A'Maire girl doing well. He had flown against her before, and knew how she was. He was confident in his unmatched speed, but she was a good flyer, and did pose a threat to the rest of his team. As they finished up, and and the captain started deciding, he went down to the ground and leaned on his broom. He watched as some first years flew around bouncing off each other. THen there was the veterans. Drake yelled at him to get in the air form the stands. He sighed, got a grin going, ran, and back flipped onto his dull black broom. He shot into the air, and in no time he was the fasted thing out there.

A'Marie lazily flew towards the ground where the rest of the soon-to-be team was. But a dull black broom caugh her eye. She saw one of the gryffs shoot into the air after a nice show off-ish mount. SHe glided her trajectory to cross paths with him for a split second when she 'accidently' caught his broom with hers, she sneered, "Hey watch where you're going you filthy mudblood," and she flipped his broom. She sped off down to the ground as if nothing happened.

Gustav sneered as he was flipped around. Being a seeker, he was used to high speed accidents, even though he was pretty sure it wasn't an accident. He spun his hands around and flipped himself back onto the broom and kept going. He had to remember that next time he faced her.

SHe dismounted her broom and headed for the stands. On her way there Souxe decided to pop up out of no where.

"Well that looked fun. What was the gryff doing in your way?" Souxe laughed softly and glared up at the sky.

"Don't worry about it. He's just a mudblood, don't waist your time. Besides, I see you have been taking a fancy to that Beth girl." This time it was A'Marie who laughed.

Steve swooped down and landed next to A'Marie. "Please stop using those words, they just don't quite work." She looked at her fingernails as though they were fascinating and than flicked a little fireball into the air. She laughed as it danced away.

Beth happened to be watching A'Marie and her eyebrows rose as she saw the dirty little trick. No doubt it wasn't a huge deal, but it said something. She'd have to regard the girl with a more skeptical eye next time they saw each other. The owner of a good cat didn't necessarily connotate a good owner. Life lesson, that...she followed Gustav's flight for a while and then studiously ignored the acrobatics of those on brooms. She was beginning to feel sick. She busied herself with figuring out a spell to tuck a loose thread on her scarf back into the weave.
