Michael's Tree Hollow
~Can't you read the sign? It says 'No Solicitors!'~
User Image

You're lost in an enchanted forest, and you've heard it's infested with creatures called bougues. You seem to think they're either cool, disgusting, cute, or you just don't care. But now you shall get the chance to meet one and decide for yourselves. For as you stumble along under the green canopy of great, towering trees and feel the tickle of the leafy ferns underfoot, you come across a single tree that seems to be hollow. It looks as if someone tiny lives there, and the tree has many levels, miniature stairs leading from one to the next. Daringly, you venture inside.

Tymiko the Pirate Girl

Tymiko the Pirate Girl

Prologue
~How it all started...~

Tymiko laughed and skipped in the forest of Neverland.

"Bet you can't catch me!" shouted a voice, laughing. A boy's face appeared in front of her, hanging upside-down from a tree branch.

She giggled and reached out to grab him, but missed. "Oh yes I will...." She burst into a fit of giggles, as if she were a 6-year-old playing hide and seek.

The voice, with surprise in his tone, exclaimed, "Hey! You took my hat!"

"Of course I did. That way you'd have to come and rescue it. You seem to be good at that."

"At what?" The boy came down from the tree, but did not fall to the ground. He hovered just above it, grinning as he tried to stacth it from her.

But Tymiko spun around quickly and continued to hide the hat behind her back. "At rescuing, of course, silly!"

He doged, left and right, then over, trying to see where it went. But she moved each time to block his view. "Rescuing, huh? Is that all I'm good for?" he asked, a little out of breath.

"No," she responded, eventually dropping the hat on his head as he turned to face her, arms crossed, smiling. "Oh, Peter. You're such a good friend, to the Lost Boys and me-"

"The Pirate Girl," Peter said, teasing.

"Yes." She remembered the time when she had first met the Lost Boys in Hangman's tree and they had thought she was a pirate because of her clothes. But soon they learned she wasn't really, she was just dressed that way. "Tymiko the Pirate Girl. You've shown her - me - all about Neverland and having fun. How to fight pirates and talk to mermaids. How to make friends with the Indians and the Lost Boys and even a little pixie who happens to have just flown in."

"The mermaids made friends on their own. I don't know how you did it; they don't usually take kindly to other girls. And Tinkerbell too." He greeted the pixie as she landed on his shoulder. "Hello Tink."

"Hi, Tinkerbell." Tymiko smiled. "What's going on?"

Tink spoke what sounded like the tinkling and jingling of tiny bells. It was beautiful really, the launguage of the pixies.

"What? A flower? There's lots of flowers in Neverland." replied Peter, confused.

"No, she says it's a magic one...and it might have not grown on Neverland..." All three looked at each other.

"Will you lead us there, Tink?" Peter was eager to find out about this magic flower.

Tink nodded urgently, then glanced at Tymiko, smirking.

Tymiko smiled back. "Aw, come on, Tinkerbell. Hmm...well...maybe I can manage today. It's probably better since the pirates are out and about the forest...they might see us..." With that, a blinding light lit the area, flashing for only a moment. When it was gone, in the place of the girl was a brightly plumed tropical bird, seeming to carry all the possible hues and shades of blue in its trailing tail feathers.

Hey...I'm getting better at my shapeshifting. Perhaps I'll even learn how to do natural colors soon. Tymiko spoke using talk speak. It was best, she thought, when she was in animal forms. That way no matter who she spoke to, the language would be clear. If she spoke only bird, english, or any other language, it would be hard for others to understand.

Tink looked doubtful of Tymiko's hopes. Hey, replied the bird resentfully. I'm still learning. Oh well, I suppose it'll still have to be shades of blue for now. Let's go.

They flew to where Tink had seen the flower in a deeper part of the forest beside a stream that ran from the waterfall. It was exquisitely beautiful here, with ferns, vines, and trees all in bloom. There were flowers of every size, shape and color. But one large flower, a delicate, pale shade of blue, stood out from the rest. Peter scratched the back of his neck, looking uneasy.

"I've never seen that one before," he muttered.

Tymiko landed on a nearby tree branch, and in a quick flash of light she was once more in her girl form. "Well you can't notice all the flowers, can you? Perhaps this one just bloomed."

The boy shook his head doubtfully. "Mmm mm. The flowers here never die or wilt. They're always blooming. But this one...this one hasn't bloomed yet."

She knelt to examine the blossom. Tink flew up beside her. It did seem somewhat tropical, yet exotic. It seemed as if it didn't belong there. As if it hadn't grown there. But it was strange, because Tymiko was sure every flower found on earth, and many that weren't, could be found in Neverland.

Peter was right; the blossom lay tightly closed, the slender petals sheilding its center from the world. She wondered what lay enclosed in the petals, if possibly, it could be more than a flower. Memories flashed in her mind of stories she once knew...about faries and pixies that dwelled inside flowers...

"Tink, do you know who but this here?" asked Tymiko, watching the pixie hover around the blue blossom uncertainly.

I did, came a voice from the other side of the stream. A pale, shimmering figure stood there, smiling.

"Starlight!" Tymiko ran across the stream, the water freezing to form a bridge as she ran over it. The girl didn't even seem to notice.

The young unicorn laughed, nuzzling Tymiko affectionately as the girl embraced her unicorn friend. Seems like you're improving with your magic.

"Never seen that one before," Peter agreed, staring at the tiny ice bridge that the stream continued flowing under.

Tymiko turned and gasped slightly at the sight of her bridge. "But...my magic's water..."

Is water not ice, Tymiko? Perhaps you spent too much time with the humans. Their ignorance is starting to rub off on you. The filly nickered in amusement.

Tymiko touched the ice experimentally, then put her hand on it. It was cold. She thought for a moment it might have felt like the stream water, but it was real ice. She warmed it and it qucikly melted back into the stream.

I think you're getting a hold of changing the temperature of water. But be careful with it. If you can freeze it, then you can boil it as well.

"But, Starlight, I can manipulate the water to become solid, can't I? Why do I need ice?"

Because you have to use magic and energy to keep the water solid. With ice, it stays solid all on its own, and as you just discovered, you barely need to use your magic at all to create it. Now about that flower...

The unicorn nimbly leapt from stone to stone across the stream, her cloven silver hooves ringing as they touched the rock. Tymiko follwed after, familiar with the stones.

Peter grinned. "Not bad."

Starlight smiled back. I've lived in Neverland for quite some time. I know my way around it. Turning to the blue flower, she lay down beside it. Come, and I'll tell you what the flower is for.

Peter flew down and sat, hovering just above the grass, with his legs crossed, his head rested in the palm of his hand. It made Starlight smile to think that the boy was so happy, he couldn't touch the ground. Tymiko soon joined them, and Tinkerbell fluttered about Peter's shoulders.

This, she said, touching the tip of her pearly horn to the flower, holds in it a creature. They are somewhat like pixies and faries, but are closer related to insects. Well...they have traits of insects and bugs. For example, there are the butterfly type that have the wings and antennae of butterflies. These look like fairies. There are ones with dragonfly wings that almost appear to be pixies. But some, such as the ones that have spider traits, don't look at all like either faries or pixies. These creatures, all of them, call themselves bougues. I did a group of them a favor and they gave me this little one. You can tell its a boy because the blossom is blue, and girl blossoms are pink. He was abandoned, and I thought you might like to play with him. Tink might be lonely being the only pixie in Neveland. I thought she might miss some of the pixies in her onld colony. So I hope this one will be a good friend and I hope he'll enjoy Neverland, but you all need to take care of him. I'll help if you need it.

The unicorn began to get up and was about to leap into the shadows of the forest, to disppear again. "Wait!" called Tymiko. Starlight turned her head in an elegant gesture, her flowing, silky mane moving fluidly. "When will the blossom open?"

Three days in the time of the 'other world', but it'll open soon enough here. So watch over it. And she bounded away, as elusive and white as a whisp of a cloud.

Relationships
~Friends, Family, and...perhaps even a love life?~

Tymiko

User Image
Relation to Michael: Friend and caretaker
Age: unknown (looks about 12 or 13)
Gender: Female
Race: unknown
Element: Water
Strong powers: She has mysterious water powers which include shape shifting into animals, controlling any form of water, and is able to breathe and talk underwater.
Not-so-strong powers: Not yet mastered shape shifiting, as she hasn't been able to become natural colors when she turns into animals, so she is easy to spot. She always ends up some sort of blue color.
Weapons/Possesions: A strange sword is often by her side when traveling. The unique, one-of-a-kind sword is the Water Sword, which can be controlled and used in battle only by Tymiko. This enchanted weapon can be easily summoned and dismissed from any source of water at will. However, it also has a mind of its own. When held by hands it doesn't like, the sword has been known to do strange things. An aquamarine crystal pendant dangles around the girl's neck. It is with her at all times, but she does not seem to know where she got it from. But it has been known to give off a strange glow every now and then, proving it might be more than it seems.
Story: Living in Neverland, Tymiko has only the memories of her life there and memories of when she travels to the "other world" (this world). She has no idea of where she came from or what her past was, or even what race she is, and, with these questions and so many others unanswered, she travels between Neverland and this world, and she never knows what time period she'll end up in on earth, because Neverland's time is unpredictable.
Personality: Very moody, but usually clam. She has a playful and caring personality and is slow to anger, but when she is, she has a dangerous temper. She is wiser than she looks, for although she seems young, no one is certain of her age, not even her. She has met many creatures and befriended them, as well as fought many of them. Her knowledge of these creatures has grown amazingly as she searches the world on her quest to discover who she truly is.
Description: A wavy black haired girl with olive-tan skin walked along a trail in the forest. She looked around the age of 12 or 13. Her piercing aqua blue eyes, which shone very bright against her skin, searched the sky. She seemed to be looking for someone. She wore a loose white shirt with black breeches and black leather boots. She wore silver hoop earrings and a blue bandana wrapped around her hair, giving her the look of an odd, female pirate, and a young one at that. She also had slightly pointed ears.

At her side was a sharp and mysterious looking sword. It had three gems set on the handle. The gems were aqua blue, medium blue, and dark blue colored. It also had a black dragon's claw holding a clear sapphire orb at the end of the handle. The strangest thing about the sword was its blade. Instead of being silver, it was a dark blue at the base of the blade blending to a light blue at the tip. Dangling around the girl's neck was an aquamarine crystal. It was cut with beautiful workmanship and was shaped sort of like a 3D diamond.

There was something particularly unusual about her. It wasn't her strange clothes, odd possessions, young age, pointed ears, or even those eyes that seemed to see though your soul. It was something that you couldn't quite put your finger on, but you knew it was there. It showed in her faraway expression: the sadness and longing. The seriousness and responsibility of an adult. The playfulness and innocence of a child. All in this one girl. There was something very peculiar about this girl, and the more you looked at her, the more it seemed to show.

Peter Pan

Relation to Michael: Friend
Age: unknown
Gender: Male
Race: Elf (*cough* raised by pixies *cough*)
Favorite Color: Green. At least I think it is...he wears so much of it...
Favorite Activity: Flying! That and playing games such as Treasure Hunt and Hide-and-Seek, and Tag, and....well, you get the idea...
Hobbies: Fighting pirates, forever annoying Captain Hook, playing games with the Lost Boys and the Pirate Girl, telling his adventures to the mermaids, and Flying...he absolutely loves flying...
Likes: Having fun, never growing up, laughing, showing off, mocking Hook, mimicing voices, playing games, pixies, magic, imagination, playing his pan pipes, stories, being admired, being fought over by the mermaids and Tinkerbell (lol)
Dislikes: Grown-ups, rules, limits, the 'real' world, pirates, anyone who doesn't believe in magic and fantasy
Personality: Active, playful, funny, yet sometimes annoying. But this fun-loving elven boy is very friendly...except for grown-ups and anyone else who threatens his friends and his island. He is a brave fighter and will fight to the very end. Though sometimes over-confident and proud, Peter has a kind and caring heart, and always seems to want to share his never-ending joy with the world.
Weapons/Possesions: A small, sharp, dagger, used efficiently with his quick skill is tucked in its sheath at Peter's belt. Along with it, though not always with him, are pan pipes that he enjoys playing music on. He almost always wears his trademark: his forest green cap with a scarlet feather tucked in it.
Story: Peter is an elven boy who lives in Neverland among the Pirates, Lost Boys, Mermaids, Indians, and all the other beasts that dwell on the island. Not to mention, his best friend, Tinkerbell the pixie. (who wishes to be something more to him and is incredibly jealous of anyone she thinks might pose a threat XD) However, he seems to be the ruler of it all, and he certainly does act like it. Since time in Neverland is so unpredictable and it tends to wipe the memories of those who stay too long, no one is really sure how Neverland came to be nor much about Peter's past. (Well...I do...but that's a different story...^.~)
Description: He wears green pixie style clothes made large for an elven boy and of course his pixie cap. Peter's hair is auburn and his lively, merry eyes are brown. He usually has his dagger tucked in his belt and sometimes his pan pipes. Kind of odd, you might say, but try telling that to him. O.o
