Long, long ago, there lived a society of creatures called Bougues that lived in an enchanted wood skirting the edge of a human village. Whenever humans came around to hunt or pick berries, the bouges would try to pass themselves off as insects and bugs. Some childeren who discovered the creatures called them faries and pixies because of their similar resembelance to the magical sprites. But to the people themselves, they were known as the Bougues, for that was what they thought the humans had called them when they mistakened them for bugs. And thus our tale begins...

Michael yawned, opening his eyes. He was all alone in a forest. Trees towered above him, obscuring his veiw of the sky. He was sitting in a blue flower that had just opened. "Where am I?" he wondered aloud, glancing around. His scarlet wings fluttered lightly.

A young girl fell onto the flower, stunned. Her hair was long and pink with two slender antennae poking out. She wore a sparkling scarlet dress and had purple dragonfly wings similar to Michael's. Suddenly she burst into a fit of giggles. She saw Michael and blushed fiercely. "Sorry about that," she mumbled, embarrased. "Err.. I'm Keilin but you can call me Kei," she said grinning sheepishly, "I came out of a flower from up there." She pointed at a tree where a pink flower was cradled in the branches. "Who are you?" she asked Michael. Without waiting for a reply she grabbed his arm and pulled him up. "Come on let's go plaaaaay!" she said suppressing a second fit of giggles.

"Uh..." he pasued at her question. Who was he? He had no idea. Suddenly, a small wind blew past him, whispering a name in his ear...Michael... it said. Or so he thought.
"Uh...erm...Michael?" he replied uncertainly. He blushed in embarassment. "Whoa!" Michael exclaimed as the girl tugged on his arm and pulled him to his feet. He cocked his head. "Play? Play what?"

"I dunno," She replied, "Maybe we can try to find more people like us. I don't see anyone yet though...." Keilin smiled again, "It'll be like a treasure hunt!"

The morning was still damp with dew, and so it was that the tiny girl carefully stepped from dry-spot to dry-spot, doing her best not to get her sandled feet wet as she held her blue skirt out of the damp.
How she'd wandered out this far, she wasn't quite sure, but she allowed herself a quiet "Hmph!" in frustration; she didn't even have wings like the others, and here she was, having to wander around like this! It... It...
It just wasn't lady-like!

She pointed to it, "I bet if we follow that we'll find something- or someone!"

"Whoa!" he cried with a start, fallling backwards. "There's someone in the water!"

Keilin peered in curiously- at first she couldn't see anything but gradually the form of a person became clearer. Kei got down on her hands and knees and looked closer. Suddenly she slipped on the damp grass and plunged into the cool water. She fell down for a moment but quickly came to the surface she tried to pull herself up but she couldn't hold on to the wet earth. She tried to fly up but her wings where heavy with water. Taking a gasp of breath she was pulled back underwater.

As he did so, he noticed the distorted form of the person he had seen did the same. Is that me? he wondered.
pushing the throught aside, he yelled, "Grab onto my hand!"

She flicked the water off her wings and wrung the water out of her dress and hair. "Come on let's keep on searching!" Kei skipped ahead seeming to have completely forgotton what just happened. "Oookay..." replied Michael, a little shaken up by the recent event. Then, hearing footsteps, he turned and saw another girl. She had a lovely, pale blue dress and was picking her way through the wet grass, stepping daintily and complaining to herself. "Who's that?" he wodered aloud. "Hello?"

"Oh!" Kei said scrambling towards the girl, slipping and continuing. Straitining out her dress Kei held out her hand which was still wet and now slightly muddy. She blushed in embarassment and pulled her hand back. "err... I'm Kei," She said, smiling sheepishly.

Jessifer, absorbed in her slow-but-painstaking way through the grass, looked up with a slight start, giving a small gasp of "Oh!" can covering her mouth with one hand. "I'm so sorry," she said sincerely, "but I didn't notice you until just now... My name is Jessifer, of House Nonchalance." She executed a delicate little curtsey, then added, "Although, Papa says I don't have to say the last part unless someone asks me."
Glancing at their slightly-muddied state, then around at their forest surroundings, she politely requested, "Do you live here? Because if you do, I'd be ever so grateful if you could help me find my way out..."
