Okay, so some of you guys might whine and say it's not alternative/rock enough for this guild but it's soft rock and Fran Healy is an amazing man. And I am going to see them for my birthday. I am hugely excited, as this was one of the bands I started off with, then moved on to the hundreds of other bands I like of various rock genres.
Background info, they are a Scottish band, with songs such as "Why Does It Always Rain On Me" and "Sing". I don't actually know if they're known over the pond... but anyway, they're pretty soft rock but their lyrics are truly wonderful. My favourite song by them is "Pipe Dreams".
Now you've heard me blabber on about them, I'd be interested to see if they're known in America.

I think maybe the most known songs of theirs over here are The Beautiful Occupation and Side. I've even heard TBO on the radio once or twice but that was quite a while ago. They're also my favorite songs of theirs. An awesome band and truly worth listening to.
