Welcome to the 'Past-Tense' Roleplay!
a bit diffrent than the regular roleplay here; in teh sence that this one is all alone, and confined to this thread right here. And theres a plot! (at least, the beginins of one)
Information you need to know; This RP takes place a good 100 years after Stef joins the ghostly duo in the Forest of Sorrows, Valdemar is still at War with Karse (lol) and the entire palace is on edge (what, with the getting used to NO mages, i would be to) Trainee's are being pushed through training prematurely, and sent out to the border to fight.
However, theres been a cease fire issued on both sides. Karse has agreed to back off, if the valdemarans do the same. Being that karse is usually very un-cooperative, some alarms have been raised in the Palace, but the Queen (Serra Dailen) has no intention of cancelling this much needed repreive.
i actually started this rp so i could rp my companions as heralds lol. So! do that! hehe... If you're making trainees, have them on their last little bit of training before getting their whites. ne? it'll make things easier.
Absolutly NO mage-gift, and NO firestarting. Well, firestarting is okay to teh extant that the only thing you can enflame is a candle-wick.
AND in this rp, you CAN rp your companion :3 it makes things easier.

Darshea heaved a sigh when she stepped into teh classroom; Kail, again, sleeping. Leaning back against a wall, arms crossed, and snoring, though very lightly. Not that she blaimed him or anything; everyone was stretched too thin these days, and the mindspeakers especially. Darsh had gotten her whites jus the other day, and she'd been doing heralds work for a month already!
"Come on, Kail. Wake up." She reached out and gave the heralds shoulder a good shake. Oh, she would have rather let him sleep, but as it stood, He was the only Herald with strong enough Farsight to help Darshea, AND Fancy with their 'working together'. She sighed again and poked him this time. "Come on..."

Fancy was late so she was running as hard as she could. She threw open the door to the classroom and barreled inside. One of the students from the last class forgot to push in their chair which Fancy discovered as she fell over it and sprawled across the floor.
Ow! I'm here. Ow!
Slowly picks herself up off the floor making sure she didn't sprain anything this time. Maybe in her next life she would learn to slow down.
Sorry I'm late.

Darshea turned around at the tumbling sounds, eyes wide "Fancy!" she yelled, voice riddled with concern "You really aught to take it a bit slower..." she frowned a little, concern over-ridden.
The noise had been startling enough to snap Kail'ven out of his little nap, and the herald almost jumped out of his seat. "What!" eyes wide, he glanced around, tehn focused on the two girls. "Oh..." He didn't sound overly happy about the fact that they where here... in his classroom... during his break...

Fancy smiled ruefully.
I'm afraid if I take it slow I might end up like our great teacher, here. There is too much to do to slow down. Besides, I woulda been fine if that damn chair wasn't there.

Kail was getting up, only half paying attention to the conversation. "Don't start. You get sleep when you can. I have a nasty feeling about this whole mess, and i'll bet you anything that Karse is up to something." He glared half-heartedly at Fancy then sighed. "But, what can be proven. To teh lessoning, then. Lets go girlies. You can link without my help."
Darshea rolled her eyes. Kail was Kail. it was almost a shame they kept him locked up in teh palace, maybe a good dose of the border would snap him out of his ignorant phase. "yes, oh wise teacher." she got a glare for that.

Kasai poked his head in the classroom, knowing that he was late. He had over slept and still wanted to be in bed. He slowly walked in, waiting for the accusations that were sure to follow.

"Haha. Very amusing. Just link, alright? i've got better things to do than teach you ungratfull welps." kail sighed and looked up at the next student who had appeared. "And here comes Kasai. Late, but whats new? take a seat, i'll get to you when i've got these two up and running." well, at least this one hadn't caught HIM sleeping, that was a relief.
Darshea giggled, but refrained from adding anything to that. she knew when she was over-stepping her bounds. Kail'ven was a teacher, after all, and over-ranked her by alot. "Okay." she closed ehr eyes and tried to remember what they'd done the day before. "Lets go, Fancy, teach Mr.Sleepy-head a thing or two."

Waves cheerfully at Kasai as he comes in. Then Fancy mentally reached out to Desh with her mind finding that oh-so-familiar sensation of "Desh" easily now. They have been practicing so much lately that Fancy thought she could probably link to Desh in her sleep.
Commencing linkage. Still wondering what I'm looking for, though.

Kasai sat patiently. Lately he's been tardy to each one of their little setions. It was hard being both a healer and a mindspeaker. A lot of people were trying to convince him to intermingle and become a Mind Healer, and he was seriously considering it.

Darshea caught the 'Fancy' link and pulled on her 'hand' to strengthen the link between them. Like Fancy, she was very used to the whole 'Fancy' sensation, tho she was still a little slow with the linking, and usually needed Fancy to start the whole thing. Now that they'd linked properly, she waited. "And that would be it. Kail'ven, you're a little slow. Are you going to leave us here like this?"
Kail shook his head and carefully examined the link between Fancy and Darshea "You're not looking for anything yet. Hang there for a bit." every once and a while he pulled at it, or poked it with a mental finger, checking to see how tight it was. Unknown to these three, this was going to be one of their last 'teaching' lessons, and he was going to make sure they knew their stuff. "Hmm..." he proded a little more, aloy more, actually. Alot more than was usuall for him, until he was satisfied. "Alright. Kasai, why dont you jump in?"
