Well I have two of them for you, one for myself and one for my 11 month old (can't believe she's almost a year old already!).

Me: I've been losing baby weight (finally) and my tummy skin (kangaroo pouch as my mom likes to call it) is really saggy (and gross looking). What can I do to tighten the skin? I've heard seaweed, but is that the seaweed itself, or the extract? Any onther tips and tricks would be loved!

Nikki: She has this red spot on her tummy, just under the edge of her daiper. I think it started as just an irritation from her carseat buckle that got even more irritated from the wetness/ph levels in her daiper. Anyway that's become an annoying little rash that's started to peel. Anything you all can suggest for pain/rash relief for Nikki would be awesome!

Thanks for your time all!
(P.S. sorry I've been MIA lately)

for Nikki: The first thing that comes to my mind is the usage of Jojoba oil... but my experience with it is rather limited... (maybe use cloth daipers? would that be able to help? Maybe adding to the daiper to balance the pH...)

the second thing that comes to mind is torture via seaweed... and that won't help...

the third thing that comes to mind is doing crunches and/or situps~!

We're using some baking soda to help balance the pH. My mom said I would get red rashy spots that only baking soda in the daiper would help. So I figured "It's worth a shot" hopefully that works. If not Nikki has a Dr visit on the 11th.

Torture via seaweed? I'm lost. I know crunches help tone/tighten the muscle, but does it help for the skin? It's the skin being saggy and yuck I'm having issues with. Thank you for your input though! 3nodding

Off topic but... yes, people can be tortured and potentially killed with seaweed (unless I'm confusing myself by crossing this with another substance (can likewise be done with leather)).

As for the crunches... I think by working the muscles, the skin naturally tightens a bit. If a person has a lot of weight, and the3y suddenly lose a lot of it, the skin sags. the way this is fixed is by doing aerobic excersizes... it builds muscle a bit, and is good for the skin.

I have also asked a bit and yes... the crunches should work fine... if you would like help, you could also apply skin-firming lotions.

also, anything that improves elasticity in the skin, like vitamin E oil, cocoa butter (which is mostly the massage and not the butter, but it smells nummy!) and such. The skin is stretched- like fabric that's been pulled out of shape, you have to work it until it contracts back up again.
