He's my favorite manga artist! His Love Hina series was the first manga I started reading, and that's how I came to be an fan of ecchi mangas. I find those kind of mangas pretty descent with their sexual humor. So is anyone else here a fan of Akamatsu?

Akamatsu does a very good job with harem series.
i wouldnt refer to his works as ecchi.... more in the harem zone. his work is full of suggestive humor, but i dont think its considered to be perverted.
negima is pretty good in my opinion. but i hated both of the anime adaptations for the original Love Hina and Negima anime. i love the second parody anime of Negima though. its the one that is called Negima?!

VainZiler He is good, but i was disapointed with Negima. The only thing I'm disappointed about Negima was the anime, which wasn't very good. sweatdrop I thought about watching the remake, hopefully it's better. DX

the parody negima anime is hilarious becuz for some reason, Asuna always talks about chupacobras instead of fawning over Takamichi. that is very very out of character, but very funny.
and i dont see how you were dissapointed with Negima. the manga actually involved a lot of action and fighting (of course, with mangic), which Akamatsu was not very proficient at creating at the time when Negima started.. i think he did a really unique series with the types of manga he drew before like Love Hina and A.I. Love You. oh, and i cant forget Itsudatte My Santa. that one is very very funny.

Ah yes... Asuna... Actually I think I may have found Ayaka more interesting in the newer series because they amplified her shota complex by... a lot. Although, they did that for traits of a lot of characters, which makes it all the more hilarious. I absolutely love Setsuna in the OVA specials. XD

yep. the OVAs actually derive its story from the original Negima anime, but people expected the OVAs to be based off of the Negima?! series becuz the same artstyle was used, but the thing is, the studio who worked on the Negima?! series was hired to make the OVA based off of the original anime, so many people were confused at first. that is why Setsuna is all confused with the lesbianism when the Negima?! series doesnt show much of that.
oh, and there is one strange thing that i thought was REALLY weird.... Nodoka in the Negima?! series just straight-out fell in love with Negi as soon as she laid eyes on her. that is just making her look like a ***** or something! that is just creepy if you ask me.

Meh, Nadoka's cute either way. XP.
Oh aside from that, I thought Setsuna's lesbianism was freakish apparent. I mean, with the one based off the orgiginal Negima that it. The Negima?! summer OVA had a few scenes where she pannicked, but in the spring OVA (obviouslyt based off a part of the manga) she's staring at Konoka's crotch for quite some time... which is why I found her so funny. Not to mention that there's a chupikabra in the spring OVA though. >.> Plus... CHisame does he whole net idol shpial in both of the OVAs, but is uh... I'd say more amusing in the Spring one.

the spring one is when they are at the beach, right? that one was funny.
oh, and the way a person could tell the OVAs were based off of the original Negima is when Asuna calls out her huge sword with the pactio card. in Negima?!, all the partners transform by having the card pulled out of them by Negi, right? thats how people can tell.

Well, I djust remember the one at the beach being in the Manga. XP Whatat's actually pretty much probably the main reason that they didn't add the "?" though. Otherwise the characters were stylized the same as that version... with the whole chupikabra deal and all shoved in, because that definately wasnt' in the manga. XP

i love the deal with the chupacobra. its so funny. all randomized crap that the people working on Negima?! series put in to make things absolutely unrelating to the original. and whats up with that Baron guy? and that frog-like thing that says "-in a good way" over and over? and why does Ayaka keep on telling Maki that she "fails" at being Sasaki Maki and fails at life??? SO RANDOM!!!

i dont mind if it is a minor or a major role. as long as he is in it, it seems good to me.
speaking of him, he played the voice of that perverted guy who could steal the underwear of women who are still wearing it in this one episode of Inukami. that was hilarious!
