So this is the basic idea...
It's present day and an evil corperation known as the "Darkerside Group" is planning on taking over the world...
A small group of heros is all that stands between them and their goal.
These heros are known as the "Deizens of Light".
Here's where you come in.
You will play a part in the story (Be it on either side or as a neutral character (Please don't all be heros... it's a small group against a large corperation.))
It's mostly free form... Just try to stick with the basic story as said above and have fun with it. ^_^

The Characters.The Deizens of Light:The Hero of Light Name: Kevin Wolfe Superhero alias: Night Wolf Age: 20 Powers: Kevin can turn himself and anything he chooses into a shadow, he is also capable of manipulating shadows, allowing him to do the following: Kevin can phase through solid material by becoming a shadow. Kevin can "jump" from shadow to shadow. For example, if he turns into a shadow and dissapears into the shadow of a tree, he can reappear from the shadow of a car nearby. By manipulating shadows, Kevin can make a shadow into a different shape, and can actually cause a shadow to exist physically, allowing him to fire blasts of shadows at foes, hurting them. Background: By the time Kevin discovered his abilities, he had resorted to thievery. His ability to become a shadow helped him in his way of life. However, Kevin let a close friend of his in on his secret, who told the entire community. Kevin fled from the town, and spent an entire 3 years existing as a shadow, in fear of the people around him. After coming back to the real world, he was soon discovered by several other people with powers. After discovering he wasn't alone, Kevin realized he had nothing to hide. Upon the creation of the Darkerside Group, Kevin was contacted about being a part of the Denizens of Light. He accepted the request and stands among the few who stand against the Darkerside Group. VK HoP Name: Janus Bigsby Alias: Switchback Age: 45 Powers: Janus can change his anatomy at will. This enables him to do many things... Become extremely strong, breathe underwater, fly, scare small children, ect... Background: Janus was raised in a rural town in northern New England. When he reached the age of 12 he discovered that his body was going through odd changes... This wasn't just normal puberty. He grew hair everywhere, spikes off of his joints, and his fingers started to become webbed together... He was Homeschooled from then until graduation. After that he learned how to contol his odd power and was released by his parents into the world. A few years later, after finding a job and a home, he met a girl. She was the most lovely thing he'd ever seen! After hooking up, they went to his place. After a few minutes of pleasure, to put it in appropriate terms, he lost control of his power and impaled the poor girl... He was arrested shortly after... Twenty years later he was released into the world a second time... He then got an offer from a corperation looking for a man of his particular talents. He declined, much due to his distaste for authority, and walked away. Moments later someone shot at him, the assassin missed... He would forever wage war with the corperation and employ others who would join with him on his quest to stop them from spreading their evil further. Aspira Name: Kaylen Banks Age: 19 Alias: Dreamcatcher Ability: Kaylen has the ability to look at a person and see a number of alternate futures. In addition, she sees different life changing choices the person will have to make and experiences that will work either for or against a certain future. However, she can not tell which choice is right and at times a negative decision works out to be for the better. Over the years Kaylen also found that she could view a persons mind and memories. Much like a file, she can flip through various accounts, even rearranging, adding, or taking away from them if the mood strikes her. This means that she can make a person not know something even happened or plant a completely false memory. Too much mind altering and/or precognition causes Kaylen to pass out. Background: Ever since a young age Kaylen looked upon happy people with disdain, for she was never one of them. Born into a rich family, her sole friend was her maid Claudia. It wasn't till the age of 16 that Kaylen experienced her first skirmish with the world outside her protected life. While traveling home from a wonderful night (wonderfully boring that is) at the opera Kaylen's 2003 Rolls Royce Phantom decided that it was done providing moving transport. Her impatience getting the best of her, Kaylen decided to walk home rather than wait for an alternate ride. Accompanied by her maid, and best friend Claudia, she headed into the night. Not a mile from home however, the pair were jumped. Try as she might, Kaylen had no luck taking on the large masked figures as they pinned her to the ground. She looked up with horror at Claudia and it was then that Kaylen had a flash of Claudia on the ground... dead. Totally shocked by this vision Kaylen froze. By the time it was all over Claudia was indeed dead and Kaylen herself unconscious. They were found the next day by a school boy on his way to the bus stop. As soon as she stepped foot outside of the hospital Kaylen ran away. Though she is young at the age of only 19 Kaylen's maturity exceeds that of some 40 year olds. Though at times her decisions are rash, they are always made with good intentions. She joined the Deizens of Light of hopes that in some way it would take the place of the guilt she feels over not being able to prevent her friends death. No progress in that area thus far... I'll keep you posted though. [Dill] Name: Jessica Marche Alias: Ms. Marche Age: 28 Powers: The silver tongue (can talk way out of anything). Background: A gifted child with the english language, Jessica never lost a debate or arguement. A headstrong, but never reckless, girl who always seemed to see herself talking her way through life. After winning many high level debate club events, she moved on to bigger things. Becoming a lawyer, and finishing course after course on economics and marketing. Everytime she passes, she found the challenge fading. Everytime she won an arguement, whether for fun or profit... The winning feeling never lasted. After joining The Darkerside Group very recently, even she doesn't exactly know what she's selling. And that's just the way she likes it. Heisei - Name: Duncan Doogey - Supervillian alias: The Caffiend (Calf-fee-nd) - Age: 24 - Background: Having grown up in the small, religious community of Worshipton, Duncan had always led the life of a pasty-white mama's boy. He never commited a crime; he never felt up an underaged classmate; he never robbed a bank, drank a drop of liquor, or smoked the dooby. He was every parent's wet dream (Breakfast Club, 1985). Once Duncan had left his parents' basement and moved off to college at Universe University, the stress he experienced during his new college life soon became too much to bare. His homework was piling up. His grades were slipping. He was fired from his manager position at Jamba Juice. His social life: gone. Everything was going downhill. But alas! There was still hope for the young soon-to-be-lawyer-guy! A friend who worked at the coffee shop across the street from said Jamba Juice told him about a wonderous substance, one that would relieve him of his unnecessary stress, and boost his confidence to deal with everyday life! "Hurray," Duncan exclaimed, "what sort of awesomelyawesome substance could this be?" His friend smiled, reached under the counter, and revealed a 24 oz Double Shot Espresso Mocha Mocha 1/2 Cup Caramelato with Whip, and said that one, magical word, "Caffeine." Since that day, Duncan became addicted to the stuff! Pepsi, coffee, chocolate, chocolate coffee; it didn't matter where it came from as long as he could have it! His grades began rising, and his social life was within his grasp. Oh, what a great time in his life it was! After graduation from Universe University, Duncan was soon hired at the extremely vague corporation, the Darkside Group, and was just as quickly promoted to the head lawyer of the DG's lawyer division. The past four years of non-stop caffeine consumption gave him the energy to fulfill his lifelong dreams! But despite all of his accomplishments, he no longer was the adolescent Duncan from the days of yore, that he surely was not. Duncan had unwillingly become: THE CAFFEIND! - Powers: Super twitch powers, nocturnal vision, speed writing, and/or other caffeine-induced abilities. Examples: When fully drugged on caffeine, Duncan is capable of causing small tremors by simply setting his spastic hands upon surfaces both large and small. Duncan can grind nearly any substance with his chattering teeth of injustice. The Hero of Light Name: Lucas Richards Supervillain alias: Flare Age: 32 Powers: Lucas obtains his powers from the sun. He absorbs sunlight and is then able to do a few things related to the sun. Lucas can create blasts of fire, fly, and when touching someone is able to increase their body temperature. All of his powers become more powerful the more sunlight he is receiving, and become weaker the less he is receiving. Background: Before joining Darkerside Group, Lucas had used so much of his power, that the intensity of the power reached his brain and caused a severe concussion. Now physically back to normal, he still retains no memories of his life before the concussion. All Lucas knows is Darkerside Group. Darkness is his life. Ironically, his powers have so much to do with the opposite of darkness.
