Everyone's most loved enemy of the main heros: SephirothFacts about Sephiroth:
His biological father was Hojo and his biological mother was Lucrecia.
He was implanted with Jenova cells while in the womb of Lucrecia.
Before the events of FFVII (as can be seen in the anime short movie Last Order), Sephiroth killed Tifa's father (?) and chopped the head of Jenova off of the body. Cloud stabbed him, and then he either jumped or fell into the lifestream.
Sephiroth keeps calling Jenova "Mother", presumed to be because of the Jenova cells lieing inside of himself.
Cloud and Sephiroth worked together before Sephiroth learned of Jenova.
Sephiroth gained superhuman abilities from these Jenova cells and by using them to his advantage earned the rank of being an elite SOLDIER.
Sephiroth destroyed Nibelheim just before killing Tifa's father (?).
Anyone feel free to tell me of things I've missed out in this list. Thoughts on Sephiroth, either good or bad, accepted here.

I thought Sephiroth was a very good villian. I feel bad that after the corp. merger SE took away a lot of his depth.

I don't know what changed, but he's a pretty good villian regardless if they changed him or not.

I don't like Sephiroth......sure, he's just drooling hot, but he was weak-minded.....and ehh.....to me, he wasn't that much of a villain. I love him when he didn't go insane though. xd He was just so awesome, so mature and sexy. whee

Twindream I don't like Sephiroth......sure, he's just drooling hot, but he was weak-minded.....and ehh.....to me, he wasn't that much of a villain. I love him when he didn't go insane though. icon_xd.gif He was just so awesome, so mature and sexy. icon_whee.gif Yea, he was so cool as a good guy, but I loved him as a bad guy even more! Evil just gives people double the hotness, =p .

DaleLuck1313 Hmm... what do you mean? In AC, or other games with him in? What I'm mostly going on is how he's portrayed now. Here's some brief examples... Advent Children: Sephiroth's appearance in AC rubbed me as nothing but fanservice. Yes, the entire movie did play up to his reappearance, but it would have been just as easy to have gone without with only a few minor tweeks to make the plot feel a little more solid. Last Order: Many things in this OVA did not line up with what actually happened in game and that included the actions and dialog of Sephiroth. It does nothing but take away the humanity (mentally, morally, and physically) that Sephiroth DID have at the time. It plays into over-glorifying him as the pure villian. I swear when I saw him jump into the lifestream at his own will I really did scream, "By the stone in my blood! Why don't they have him tie Tifa to the bloody rails while your at it!" I love Sephiroth... I cling tight to the dream that he MUST have been based off of Hannibal Lectar. ( I know eh wasn't but let me dream damnit!) But he does seem to loose more depth with every VII add on.

Yeah, I guess you're right. In the original FFVII Sephiroth was actually quite calm when he learned of The Jenova Project, even though he did turn psycho, he stayed calm. But in Last Order, he went all weird and mental (in a too-happy-for-life sort of way), and I swear it said somewhere he FELL into the Lifestream, not JUMPED.
