Gaia name: Bara no Chikai Name: Quon Li Tsung / Tsung Quon Li (Tsung is last name, Quon Li is first name) Bending skills: Earth Age: 9 years old when she started to bend; 10 almost 11 years old now Bio: Quon Li lived with a lower middle class family in a large city that can be compared to The Great City of Omashu. Her father works as a carpenter and her mother was a housewife. Most of her friends were boys because she did not like the snobbiness of most girls in the city (other girls were just plain too boring to hang out with). Quon Li first discovered her Earthbending ability when she "accidentally" slid down from the several roofs of a tall apartment with a thick rug, thinking that she would land safely on the soft grass. However, things did not go as calculated: when she landed on the grass she still kept sliding and was headed directly for a wall. She screamed and covered her face with her arms. The wall burst as she collided with it. There was a huge hole on the wall and a rubble of earth and stone on the ground, but the girl was still intact. After finishing examining her, a doctor said, "You're lucky you're an Earthbender. Otherwise you'd have more than just a few cuts." This was actually a surpise for her parents. There wasn't another Earthbender in their family aside from very distant relatives. Quon Li urged her parents to find a Master to teach her. "So that you can cause more destruction? I don't think so," her father said. But she didn't give up. She'll be an Earthbending Master one day even if she has to teach herself.
Her quest to become a great master was delayed when an expeditionary force from the Fire Nation conquered the City of Hokhu - the city Quon Li had never left in her entire life before. Just a few months after she discovered her bending ability too. Outside the city, hidden in the hills, she now lives with her parents in a tent made of bundles of weeds tied together. They're camped with other survivors of the invasion who lost too much of their possessions to travel very far in a much safer location like Ba Sing Se (though that city fell eventually anyway). Every other day, she climbs up and down a number of hills - a very laborious job - just to view the city she was born and raised in still from far away. "I swear, I will become strong enough. Then, I'll show those bigheaded Fire Nation soldiers. I'll show them all! Even if I have to beat them all up and take back our homes on my own," a childish promise Quon Li made to herself. Opinion on war: Didn't care until the Fire Nation came to invade the city, that is. Now she just wants to go back home. Current Location: Somewhere outside the City of Hokhu in a small refugee camp, surrounded by hills on one of the largest islands of the Earth Kingdom continent, the one on the northwest
Appearence: Short; always wears pants or shorts with her long green and gray robes; has a comb/clip thingy with a butterfly on her hair Height: 4'4 (told'ya she's short xD) Weight: 80 lbs (I'm not so keen on this... might be editted) Eye color: Brown Hair: Black, thick, and braided down to her lower back Build: Skinny, not a lot of fat but her body is mostly hidden in her robes anyway.
Bending Level: 1 (things tend to to be smashed into pieces a lot... even just the stone or piece of earth she tries to bend)

Prologue
"Quon Li, run!"
A little girl, in shock, couldn't think of anything as her panicking father grabbed her wrist and ran. She could barely recognize where she was going. It was the same way from the market going back home, but the scenery was different. People everywhere running and screaming, stumbling and tumbling over anything in their way. She could've sworn she stepped on some pieces of pottery back there. She could see a basket with some good buns of bread toppled on the floor, and white feathers stirred and strewn around it--probably from some chickenpig also running amuck. When her father finally pulled her in the house and slammed the door, it was only then she recalled as much as possible what she saw. The girl finally, fully understood: something really, really bad is happening.
"What's happening!? It's chaos outside!" Quon Li's mother exclaimed. Her poor mother! Pale and skinnier than her own daughter, Quon Li's mother had always had a frail body. It was actually a miracle when she gave birth to Quon Li. Though the baby grew strong, the mother was bedridden for years. She never completely recovered and the farthest she ever walked after was only few feet from their house. Friendly neighbors gave her company and offered to help with some of the chores, while Quon Li's father had always brought the little girl to the marketplace where there she learned the basics of trade. Soon after, Quon Li does the shopping alone and sometimes even advertises her dad's skills in carpentry.
Her father was looking tired. "It-it's finally happened." He said taking deep breaths. He tried to calm down and explain, "The Fire Nation used a decoy army to wear down our troops. After that, the second army went on an all out attack and broke a huge hole in our defenses. They had already destroyed the barracks and other military camps stationed in the outermost part of the city. But then I heard others shouting that their homes have been burned down! We have to get out of here!"
This was a little too much for the young girl to comprehend. She had been living in peace for the entire ten years of her life, after all. But she did understand the last part. Leave home? But where would they go? Wait, her mother! She's barely been outside before! How can she survive through the chaos now?
To be continued... Until Bara can think again...
