I want to see the world.
I've been to Italy, France, Switzerland, and Austria. (The trip was a social nightmare. The only good thing that came out of it was my college essay.) I absolutely loved where we stayed in Austria. I also loved France and Italy. I still need to see Milan though.
Other places I need to go: ~Disney World (I'm so deprived) ~England (May be going to London this year) ~Ireland ~Spain ~Egypt ~Japan ~Guatamala (I have family there)

Im from Alabama (just thought I've say that to give you guys a frame of reference).
I've been to: Italy (Rome, Assissi, Florence, Pisa), Switzerland (Geneva), London U.K., California (San Francisco, Yosemite National Park, Sonoma, Modesto), Florida (Orlando-DW:Epcot, Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach/Destin), Atlanta, Milwaukee, Washington D.C., Tulsa, Austin, Ohio (Columbus, Newark), and Pittsburgh.
One day I'd like to visit New York City, The Smokey Mountains in Tennessee, South Florida (like Miami or key west), Los Angeles, Seattle, Hawaii, Athens Greece, and Paris.
I like to travel for pleasure and for my job. I havent had a chance to travel with work for awhile though because we've been understaffed here at home that they can't afford to send me away. Hopefully that will change soon. They want to send me to Little Rock Arkansas...its not really on my list of places I wanted to visit but I've never been there before so I'd be ok going at least once for work.

I used to travel a lot more then I do now. I've been all across Canada from the West coast to the Great Lakes, still need to go to Eastern Canada. I've also travelled to the states a lot. Been to New York many times and LA once and Rhode Island to see my sweetie. I travelled mostly for conventions and very little of those trips were vacations. I was always working which is why I've been told to not do anymore long trips like that unless it is for a vacation... so no more conventions for me.
The worst trip for me was the one to LA. At the time I was living in London, ON and had just broken up with my ex. Just as the twin towers were falling I got a request to show up at a convention in LA only weeks later. The airport was horrible and I ended up spending 6 hours awaiting my plane and it was a 7 hour flight. When I arrived it was 1 am and my ride to the convention hotel left without me and I was told to sleep in the hotel until a bus came by that would take me to the hotel. To tell you I did not sleep that night at all. The airport was empty and the security guard allowed me to curl up in the corner for most of the night, telling me not to leave the building because there was a sniper on a building across the way... the fun...
I had spend all my cash on the flight out there so when the bus arrived I didn't have the $80 for the trip. The driver took sympathy on this lost and tired artist and said he would take some of my art in exchange for the trip, if the convention staff did not pay for my trip when I arrived. The only goods thing about that trip was that I got my own big room with a nice view, and I became friends with Tomoko Tanaguchi and Scott McNeil. The convention told me afterwards that I was not allowed back after I announced that I was a dyke during the opening ceremonies... So that just made the whole trip that much worse...
My most memorable trip was the bus ride to Rhode Island. I was nervous as hell because I hate going to the States alone and this would be my second time taking a trip like this without someone at my side, the first being that trip to LA. I had to take 5 buses to get to RI and it was an 18 hour bus trip. I remember singing to myself "I'm on my way" by the Proclaimers every time I got onto a new bus and the wait in Albany was the worst. I got off the bus and saw my next bus was already there. I was all excited when I was told that my bus was not leaving for 3 hours... I felt myself stop dead in my tracks and if felt like someone had hit a big gong over my head... I spent the morning in that bus station with nothing around the station as far as I could see. I wanted to get flowers for Kim, but there wasn't a shop in sight.
Some crazy lady kept calling out "Hey boy!" over and over again, but I didn't realize she was talking about me, because I had my face in a copy of Azumanga Daioh. The woman kept yelling at me until a security guard came running up to the woman and I heard him whisper:
"That is not a boy. She is a girl."
Now I'd been wearing a dress shirt, tie and fedora during the trip and changed in the station to a new shirt while waiting for the bus, I had a tank top underneath so decided it wouldn't be a problem. I noticed the Security guard was watching me and felt kind of embarrassed, but it would see it was a good thing he saw me changing because he stop the woman from bothering me. I was really expecting some kind of scene because of the way I was dressed, but the woman just told me how I shouldn't dress that way while being escorted out of the building.
Anyways, I got on that last bus and remember it being the longest leg of the trip. I also saw a flower shop and wished I could ask the driver to stop for a moment so I could get some flowers, but instead I just stared out the window wishing and didn't have the nerve to ask for him to stop.
When I finally arrived in Providence I could not find Kim so I called her place only to discover the phone would not take my quarter. I thought it was because it was a Canadian coin then found out that it was because it wanted 50 cents of all things. It turned out Kim and her mother were at the wrong station and my roommate forgot to tell them that my bus would be late. *grumbles* But we finally found each other and have been in each others arms every since.
Well, sorry to bore you all with my stories.

Adding the above I forgot to mention most of the time I trave,l I go alone. When I went to London UK and California (plus all my work trips) it was alone. You do what you gotta do if you love travelling and dont have someone to go with. Its cheaper that way anyways *shrugs*.

Kay: Not boring stories at all, A sniper?! for god sakes, thats the states for ya
My worst trip was to Orlando, With a lay over in Atlanta in 03, I went with what I thought was a good friend of mine but by the end of the week trip, that my mom payed thousands for this friend and I to go we were at each others throat (and have not spoken since). Being so far from home and stuck with someone you hate is pretty crappy, then we got on a plane to FINALLY go home and we got to Atlanta to transfer planes and OF ALL THINGS it was snowing, hadn't snowed there in like 10 years and we had to get a hotel at like 3 in the morning get up at 7 to catch a flight home uggh
