Hi everybody! I thought we could use a place to discuss certain things that to one person may seem cool while to another one, it may seem lousy. I guess I don't have to remind everyone to keep the discussion clean and not get into any heated arguments. I'd like to bring you this to yer attention. Check out this two different points of view about an old game in particular. Has anyone here played Amagon? Good ReviewBad ReviewSo, which one would you agree with? Do you like a game or any other thing like a movie or something that a friend of yers dislikes (or vice-versa)?

Hypno I hate to point this out to you but it's in human nature to be different. Everyone gets the genralized upbringing 'murder is evil, rape is bad, stealing is bad' to greater or lesser degrees. It's how society works, so this topic has no point. Because 'everyone' has gone to movies, played games, done something that not every single person they are friends with liked. The only people in the world who share 100% exact same interests, likes, dislikes, for all the same reasons are bullies and their lackies. Having friends means respecting their choices so long as their choices do not involve harming themselves or you. Daredevil for example got panned by just about everyone. Not because people had different opinions but because Daredevil is part of the Marvel universe. So Marvel fans were the first to see Daredevil and saw so much lacking from what they knew they got disgusted and panned the movie. Because what brought people to like Daredevil was tampered beyond redemption. Spiderman on the other hand which was treated more respectfully then Daredevil never got an Acadmy award but is still considered a very good movie.

Yes, I know Lady. This is exactly the point of this thread. To find out who agrees with which review so we know more about each other. I also thought it would be nice to know what everyone thinks about certain kind of things they see online or whatnot. For example, if you find a review online you do not agree with, you can post it here and the reason(s) you don't agree with it. That way, others will tell you about how they agree with you or not. Of course we're all different, that's great! And I started this thread with in the hopes that we can share our points of view with the rest of the guild. If this thread turns out to be not such a good idea then I can always delete it later. Right?

Ha-ha! I hope to see that movie on cable and see if I agree or disagree with you on that one Shi. mrgreen It's just too bad that movies take about 2 years to show up on cable. I wonder if I should rent it but... I'm afraid it will be a waste of my cash. rolleyes

Woh! I got a partial agree from Bobert of all people! Nice. I can tell without even going that 28 weeks later is going to suck... They abandoned the whole point of the first.

Actually I was half wrong. The commercials completely mislead me! It wasn't shabby, I had a fun time watching. Alot of stuff made no sense and the ending was a joke, but the very beginning was awesome, and if watched in theaters it has the potential to scare the pants off many people. Although it's understandable why the commercials made it look like crap. They couldn't show any other part of the movie, it's too friggin violent eek

Really? So 300 wasn't bad? Too bad about the commercials filtering out all the good stuff. Hmm, and I thought in this day and age the things we get to see on TV wouldn't be censored as much. I keep seeing new shows with such things on them that I'm surprised they actually get to be on the air. rolleyes

No not 300, 28 weeks later xd 300 still sucks. And censorship is a way of life. A good chunk of Americans are descended from the Puritans. One of the most repressed peoples the world has known. So the traditions of the culture is to repress and censor lest the masses become corrupted. Besides politicians use crusades as a campaign. People are so quick to find something to blame so they won't have to take responsibility and their solution is censorship. It all goes back to the 3 monkeys: See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. People foolishly think if they try to cover up what they call evil it won't exist anymore. Of course that works as well as an ostrich burying it's head in the sand when threatened...

nothing at all, trying to find work in my real life. In 300, when they fought, great times. The action was great, blood everywhere. Spartans everywhere would be proud. When they opened there mouth, god the movie got so boring. But after like 5 mins of talking, there was more death. So 28 weeks later was good. I never seen 28 days later so i don't even know what its about. I'm looking for a good scary movie. so i hope this one is atleast somewhat scary...

Personally I liked 300, sure the gratuitous violence was awesome but non death scenes kinda moved the story along. Lately I haven't gone to theaters since Hot Fuzz, there's nothing I've wanted to see lately sweatdrop

I wanna see Black Sheep and something else (dammit I forgot again). But I will see simpsons movie when it comes out 3nodding Looks bad but meh, already agreed to see it. I am definitely looking foward to Rush Hour 3 also! This is the first time in a while I wanted to see so many movies in such a short time.
28 weeks later... It was leaning toward the better part of OK. It wasn't great, as I said it had it's BS, but it definitely wasn't as bad as commercials make it seem. And in theaters it has alot of scares (on DVD in a small screen I doubt it'll have the same effect).
The way I view 300 is like the latest 3 Star Wars movies with all the good things taken out... The few good things there were.
