In the 6th book, why didn't harry just point his wand In dumbledor's mouth and do the Aquamente spell? No cup needed?

Harry was panicking. Harry was panicking big time, obviously, or else he would have remembered not to touch the water at all in the first place.
Out of Universe reason:
It woulda been kinda dull if it had just been "Harry used a spell and everything was fine and they got out of there with no more drama or conflict." XD;
