Sam walked off of the ship brazenly, checking behind her to see if Ophelia was behind her as she went in search around the island.
"Excuse me, who are you and what are you doing?" A voice asked and Sam whipped around, panicky, to see an Amazonian gazing at them.
Sam said the first thing that came to mind.
"We're looking for different friuts, Ohelia here is the ship's cook. You wouldn't happen to know where some of the fruit might be growing would you?"
The Amazonian was apparently placated by the responce and pointed the girls in another direction which they promptly took off in to aviod suspision.
((If someone wants to come in to join (Ophelia for instance) they're welcome to and if someone wants to play a suspisious Amazon then feel free, just don't catch me, make me work for it or something.))

::looks at Sam and is right behind her:: Great cover, darling. I am not so lovely at such things. I am grateful that you had been along with me; otherwise, I would not have lasted long. I wonder what they want with us? But yes, while we are at it, should we not grab some fruit in the process? Bartholomew is grossly hungry for some reason. ::keeps walking and following Sam, for she knows more about the island than she does::

((S'okay, I just thought for a while I would be writting this whole thing by myself. Glad I was wrong. And for the record, I do have a girlfriend.))
"Thanks Ophelia, you're right. We should get some fruit just in case that Amazonian sees us again. We wouldn't want to blow our cover."
Sam walked over to a random tree and picked the juicy purple things growing there and sniffed. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with it but she held it out to Bartholomew for animals were better at discerning edible food from poisonous ones.
When Bartholomew ate the fruit Sam plucked a few more and stuffed them into her knapsack before walking on.

Sam wanderd around looking aimless while seruptisiously keeping an eye out for anywhere someone would hide something of value and obvious importance.
"Bartholomew," Sam turned to the monkey, hoping it would listen to her. "Could you please try random fruits as we walk please."
Just then Sam and Ophelia noticed a small building and as they neared they realized that it was... a suvenier shop!
Thinking what the hell, Sam and Ophelia walked in and saw just what they needed. There were fake 'Shinies' everywhere for trade.
Grabbing a hand sized fake Shiny Sam traded a few of their fruits and they left, amazed at their strok eof luck. Who would have thought the Amazonians would have a suvenier shop with the perfect supply for stealing their most prized possesion.
As the continued on their way Sam just peeled off the price tag and manufacturer's data before stuffing it in her bag.

::looks in her knapsnack:: Sam, my darling, I understand that these items are all very shiny, but... I cannot help but think that this is some sort of trap... I mean... since when it is that convenient for us to find something that we wanted... it is like they read our minds. I am quite suspicious, darling.

Sam stiffles a laugh at seeing Ophelia almost get caught by a trap.
"Well, we know that if there are traps, then we must be getting closer to where they keep The Shiny." Sam commented.
