Emotional/mental issues undoubtably play a huge role in health.
discuss:
eating disorders; their development, those at risk, those with slight problems etc.
eating according to emotions
how much you see food as simply a fuel- not a comfort, entertainment, form of procrastination, guilty pleasure, enemy...

Well, people with a mental disorder, like depression, are more likely to be obese because obesity is often used as a coping mechanism. I find that most of the time, I end up eating if I'm upset, so that I can supress that enough to get work done- I don't really have the time to sit around feeling depressed. So that's definitely a problem.

le-half-blood-princess i think my main problem is that i eat because i'm bored OMG! Me too! I'm usually only bored at work and the more bored I am, the more I eat. If I'm at home and let's say I'm playing a video game I'm really into, I could go hours and hours without eating if I don't stop myself.
