Okay so since a lot of us here are cosplayers, I'm sure that sooner or later we will run into a costume or wig that we have no idea how to make. The purpose of this thread is so that you can ask other guild members about what to do since someone in here might know something that can help. When asking for help, it'd be a lot easier if you can provide a picture of your character so we have a visual reference to work from.

Um ok this is kind of lame but this is somethin I'd like some help with.
You know how some people collect bouncy balls? Like from the lil machines at the store? If anyone happens to get Green, Red, Purple, Blue, Yellow, A huge, covers all palm if the hand Black ball or a pale green with white veins on it ball.... if they would possibly show me or give to me ^_^ I'll even pay back how much u spent to get it.... It would really help me with my materia collection I want as Aeris just to walk around with them and what not.
Thanks!

So I've been looking for nonprescription contact lenses for certain cosplays but I really cant find any under a hundred bucks and I know I've heard there's some for thirty buck out there, does anyone know the website or place where I might be able to find them for less then 100?

If you want super craptastic ones then they'll be atleast 20-30. I got my old Aeris green contacts for like 20 at some salon and they worked but they weren't great. Cosplaylab.com has contacts for like 40-160+ ranging from awesome colors to flippin sweet custom made contacts with moons and sharingan and all that. As for the unprescribed part, theres somethin with cosplaylab that you NEED a prescription and your doctor has to sign/send them something. Not sure what thats all about but you might wanna check that out.
T__T I need lasik surgery before I can get contacts from them without having to layer both my seeing and the colored >_<

If it's the custom contacts like the sharingans then no, you won't find any under 100 dollars. If you do I wouldn't recommend putting them on as they might just make you go blind. The better stuff are expensive but at least you can be safe and correct at the same time.

So what if I am different? Does anyone have an idea of how to start with sumomo? ...I just need an idea how to, since I hope to plan to cosplay as her for the contest... as for her wig.. I shouldn't have a problem unless I have to DO the hair... sweatdrop Here's a pic: ...I'll find the rear end later.. sweatdrop ...That just makes things easier to identify me! =D

How to start...well that depends on what you can get done fastest. But before anything, I suggest you buy all the basic supplies that you'll be needing for the cosplay. (A wig, fabric, thread, needles, etc.) For me, I always start with the wigs since I find those to be the easiest parts of a costume. On Sumomo, that might just be the hardest, in my opinion, due to it coming out of her hat. I'd find a long wig close to the color in the picture and then cut and style it once it arrives. For the costume, if you're new to making your own cosplay, I'd suggest you try looking for a pre-made pattern that's close to what the costume looks like. From there, you can tweak it around to make the end result what you're looking for. If you're lucky, there might be some gypsie costume patterns leftover from Halloween at a fabric store and you can base your cosplay off of that. I'll post a few pictures of Sumomo cosplayers for you to see how the costume look like in 3-D. It helped me to look at other cosplayers to see their choices in fabric, wigs, etc. That's all I can suggest for now. Once you actually start putting things together and should you run into any specific problems, come back and I might able to help more. Your costume is still in the beginning stage so I can only give vague ideas. =) Let me know if you have problems in any area of the costume and I'll try my best to help.
