The Unity Walkers were in need of new blood, and after learning of Kamilika and her mate Ta's plans for their children, Kiva was, honestly, feeling inspired herself. She'd spoken with the priests already, and Mteule in turn suggested the plan to Kauta. All in all everyone was in agreement.
An arranged marriage would be held, and Kiva would be the one to find the future queen.
The Pridelands were a prime location for such a search, what with so many newborns in the area and everything. The goddess roamed the lands in disquise for now, waiting until she might find the proper candidate.
As she explored, wings hidden from view, her eyes roamed and her powers worked gently. She'd track the ties that connected one lion to the next. She made sure to look for the ones that were youngest, or older tying into their children, or grandchildren, nieces, nephews, even great grandchildren and such. What would her search bring today, Kiva wondered.

Vinaya moved through the towering stalks of green keeping her eyes carefully open. The world fasinated her and challeged her growing mind. And though she was on her own today, she was willing to learn. She shy girl was usually thrust into constant choas with 5 other siblings around. She loved her family, but sometimes all that excitement was too much for her. She was a quite little thing, after all. She wove her way around the grass, trying to remember everthing she saw. She was young yet, so she'd hardly make a mental map on the spot, but it was slowly developing and making it a little easier every time she went out. She couldn't see very far from where she was, though, so she had no idea where she was headed. Or who she might meet up with.

"Well..." Kiva smiled, spotting the purple cub in the distance as she drew closer. The goddess slowed to a stop, watching the young female with a curious expression. It seemed like her search might be a little easier than she thought, at this rate.

Vinaya turned her head and looked upwards. She saw a flit of wings, an African Sparrow flying overhead. She smiled a little, a soft and hidden thing that matched her sweet and yet shy nature. "I wonder how they fly like that..." she murmured softly to herself, her light ears pulling back a little as she watched it vanish from her limited view. Some things were so amazing...

"I'm sure that they wonder how we run and leap the way we do as well." Kiva smiled serenely as she drew closer to the wandering cub. "They beat their wings up and down, sort of how we make our legs carry us, moving them back and forth."

Aya jumped at the voice, startled as her ears pinned back completely against her head. She looked up with wide green eyes at the pretty lioness who had seemed to apear out of no where, due to her daydreaming mind. It took her moment to get over the shock of suddenly talking to a stranger and actually absorb her words. "So..." she mumbled shyly, shifting her paw, "...they move their wings to fly...mm...they must be really...light..." She imediately hoped the assumption wasn't false or foolish. By the sound of it, this lioness was smart. She realized she should thank her for her information, "O-oh! Thank you, Lady, you're very wise," she stammered, correcting herself sheepishly.

Kiva slowed to a standing stop not far from the young girl, giving her room to leave if she wished.
"Yes, they are, you're right." Kiva confirmed, impressed that she had come to that conclusion on her own. Most young creatures wouldn't make that assumption. "You will be too, it seems to me that you already are for your age." She complimented. "You may call me Kiva, if you wish." She purred then, settling onto her haunches. "Might I know your name...?"

Vinaya flushed brightly under her fur. Ohhh, did she really think so? She wanted to believe the lioness's words ever so much! "T-thank you, Lady!" Aya blurted, obviously warmed by the compliment. She quickly let her gaze dash away as she hoped that hadn't been too loud or something...she didn't, more then anything, want to be shamed in front of someone so wise. "I'm Vinaya, Lady Kiva," she said slowly, as though she was trying to make up for the speed of her outburst just a second ago.

"You're quite welcome. It's a pleasure to meet you then, Lady Vinaya."
Little Vinaya seemed to have quite the great deal of potential, it seemed. Kiva knew that she'd need to find someone that Upepo would respect, and she hoped to find someone that was also a good match for him, personality wise, so that in being together they might actually grow to love each other as well. As the pride wasn't in immediate danger, she was seeking more than just a consort for the young heir, but a friend, someone who could grow to help him with the burden of leadership. The pride would be in good paws when he grew up, but that also depended on him finding someone who would care about the pride's well being as much as he would.
It was much too heavy a topic to simply suggest this to a cub, however. She would need to meet her parents, see what they were like, depending on that she could then decide weather or not suggesting the marriage (and how soon she did suggest it) was a good idea.
Kiva's smile remained soft, "Can I ask if your parents are anywhere nearby? I might... like to speak with them."

If Aya's skin had been visable it would have been bright pink as she felt the blood continue to rush through her face. Being called lady too~! It was rather overwelming, in a good way. She seemed to relax as Kiva mentioned her parents, as if handing Kiva off to the adults would be a little of a relief-they wouldn't make mistakes, she knew. Not her momma and pappa! "Oh yes! I'll take you to them," she chimed, sounding a little more cheerful and relaxed now that she wasn't the focus of attention. She turned and took a few steps in the oposite direction she had come, "This way, Lady Kiva."

Kiva's smile grew a little more, and she rose to her paws once again to let the little one lead, slowly padding after her once they were on the move. Oh, but if the girl only knew! If things went well then "Lady" would be the most humble of her future titles.
The goddess was rather pleased with herself for coming by such a sweet natured young girl on practically her first try. Even as she followed little Vinaya back to her parents Kiva was already tracing the bonds of the cub's family. She was connected to quite a large family or group of lions, it seemed! The ties of unity were especially strong between seven, which must have been her immediate family.
As the two traveled, while Vinaya's back was to her, Kiva allowed herself to drop her disquise, tucking her wings gently in to her sides.

It had been early morning when Ashki had first set to babysitting the children. He had allowed Kitengele some free time to herself, away from the kids for a little while. He loved his family dearly, but he understood the pressures of taking care of six quickly growing cubs. And that was exactly the reason why he had fallen asleep on the job.
He had thought that the cubs would be good enough to stay near him even while he was napping. But it seemed the prospects of adventure were simply too irrisistible for his kids.
The purple lion had awaken with a start. Something in his dream had upset him. He was alert but still somewhat asleep. He yawned great and wide, bearing all of his sharp teeth before he shook his head to chase away the last of his dreams.
"Alright kids--"
But there were no kids. There was no laughing, shouting, or bumbling about, and there certainly were no cubs curled up against him sleeping.
"Great," he mumbled, not worrying in the least. He knew his children were safe in these lands. It was simply a bit of a hassle to go about searching for all six of them when they went off by themselves. Well, there was no use in delaying any further. The male groaned and lifted himself up to his paws, looking around.
Where to start?

Vinaya saw the den area just as her father seemed to awake. What had been an easy-going walk turned into a delighted sprint right to her father. "Daddy!" She rubbed against him sweetly. Showing affection was one of the few things that she never worried about embaressing herself over. She loved her family and she was happy to show it. That didn't mean, however, that she had forgotten the pretty lady. "Daddy, this is Lady Kiva!" She chimed, moving to sit slightly behind one of his paws off to the side. Of course...when she turned she caught sight of Kiva again and blinked, wide eyed. W-what? She was so startled by the change that she ducked her head behind her father. It was...ah...time he did the talking.

The walk wasn't very long, as it turned out, and Kiva calmly swayed her animated tail as they reached the den, the cloud-puffed appendage settling to hang behind her like a banner.
She took in the male with calm dusty-lavender eyes. He looked as if he might even have ties to the old pride members, though not any of the current families within the pride. It was more a point of intrest than her actually wondering, however, so she said nothing of it as she instead spoke with a polite nod of her head.
"Hello, I hope I'm not being too forward. I ran into your daughter a few moments ago... I am Kiva, I'm the goddess of Unity and mother of the Ushirkino Watembezaji." Instinctively, as she made the formal introduction, her wings flared just a bit away from her sides to show the sky painted scenery on her feathers, as the "paintings" seemed to move with the rustle of her wings.

"Vinaya!" the male spoke eagerly, rushing the little cub with affectionate licks and nuzzles as he nearly purred. There was one cub he didn't have to go out searching for.
But his attention was distracted from his daughter as there seemed to be another figure on the scene. He hadn't seen the goddess before, and he wondered how he had managed to miss her, for when he glanced up at her words his mouth nearly fell open. Standing straight in front of him was the most magnificent goddess, her wings spread to reveal what looked like a moving scenery.
He glanced at his daugther for a moment, who now seemed to be hiding behind him, bashful. He gave a faulty smile, not sure how to address the goddess. He knew that he was far too low in any ranking to deserve the presence of Kiva.
"I-I am Ashki," he fumbled, averting his eyes out of a habit that ran very deep, traceable back to his upbringing. So Kiva was the goddess of unity and also the mother of an entire pride? He really wondered how such wonderful things happened to him.
"And you aren't being too forward," he said quietly. After that, he was unsure of what to do.
