Shula loped through the jungle with a wide smile, her blue eyes twinkling like the sun-filled sky above the treetops. Daddy was taking her on a trip!She had never felt so excited! She ducked and wove among the ferns and vines, practically bouncing on her paws. She loved her home, and she loved to explore it, but she was always filled with wonder by her father's stories of the outside world. And now she was going to see it! Well, soon anyway. They'd be leaving in a few days. For now she had joined her father on his little patrol outside the borders.
Mteuli trailed after his daughter with a warm expression. He loved both his daughters and had been thrilled that one of them wished to join him this morning. Shula sure kept him on his toes-she was full of energy. Though his skills of navigating were better due to experience, he let her lead for a time. Nothing wrong with letting her gain some wordly experience.
