She was born in a little village in Kyoto, which was commanded by her father, Kenji Sakamoto. Azumi's mother was a famous Geisha by the name of Mai Misaki.
Little by little as she grew, she learned respect and the art of the samurai as well as being a Geisha, which distinguished her from all her fellow members. Azumi's silky black hair was obtained by her mother's side, yet her valiant looks with a pointy nose, hence a strong grey eyes was taken from her father. They say that her soul acquired too many elements of the mist, which caused her eyes to turn so grey; therefore, made her unique in her village.
By the age of 5, her village was sabotaged by assassins, killing everyone in her settlement.
Watching her village burn, she fearfully witnessed the death of her mother and father before her eyes. Nobunaga, the leader of the "Shendo-te", harassed her mother after assassinating Kenji with his broad masamune. Through Azumi's eyes, flames of Oni's danced before her, roaring and driving her through hallucinations, thus trapping her in endless nightmares. Struggling to move, Azumi was caught and placed ahead of Nobunaga, as they observed such a frail young child. The words spoken by her enemies is still engraved within her soul, "Such monochromic eyes you withhold...This child may have potential, compared to the pathetic peasants of this village. Take her in and train her to kill and to be like one of us".
Years passed, and her strength grew as well as her skills. She defeated many of her enemies and was known as the "Monochromic Demon" throughout the lands that surrounded her. But soon, Nobunaga's son, Takeshi, fell in love with Azumi. His feelings developed, yet Azumi didn't return her love towards him; infuriating Nobunaga, he ordered to have her killed for the bargain of her adoration for Takeshi. But her anger emerged, remembering all her past at the glimpse of the broad and bloody masamune, she became berserked, killing everyone in her path.
By the end of the whole night, she held the heads of Nobunaga and Takeshi at the tip of her blades; while she was covered in a bloody mess, which earned her a scar across her face.
She held unto her katana and wounds, as she endured the tremendous pain. But soon, her past came unto her, as she cried and choked through her tears while her blood continued to spread; Azumi's vision began to blur as she collapsed and fainted.
Now that she is at the age of 19, she was taken in by the Young Soul Samurai's, being taught to be loyal and taken out from the murderous past, she continues to learn the art of the samurai/ninja.

Yep, I realized after reading your bio, soon after I completed mine.
Under her breath, Azumi mumbles as she placed a finger on her chin, "What was his name?...I hated him so much...". Enraged, she tried to remember the names of several people, but she couldn't exactly lay her finger on the idea.
