1. Please do not post until your join request has been screened and accepted.
2. Follow Gaia's TOS rules [any violations will not be tolerated]
3. If you're a member of this guild, it should be already understood that you have a serious interest in photography.
4. Be respectful towards your fellow users. There is a difference between constructive critique and unnecessary cruelty [flaming].
5. Any work you post here MUST be your own unless otherwise credited. Plagiarization will not be tolerated and will result in an instant ban if you are not able to prove it is your own photo.
6. Please keep posted images to photography only. There are other guilds here on Gaia for any art medium you may be looking for, but this is not the place.
7. Images should be hosted from a reliable source ie. Photobucket.com or Flickr.com. Please do not hotlink from DeviantArt or any other website that forbids hotlinking. Threads with broken links/images will be deleted if they are not changed after an initial warning.
8. Introductions belong in the Introductions Thread, not in their own thread. The main forum is for posting your photos only.
9. We have a ZERO inactivity policy. This means that if you aren't keeping active, you'll first get a warning, and if your activity does not increase within 14 days, we will discontinue your membership. Users with a post count less than three after the first month will also be removed.

1. Again, all images must be your own.
2. Please keep images to a reasonable size ie. Big enough for us to actually see, but not so big that they stretch the page.
3. Subject matter should be relatively appropriate ie) nothing racist, pornographic, overly macabre, violent, or crude. If you are not sure whether or not your image falls under these categories, please PM myself or another mod for pre-approval.
4. Remember: quality over quantity. Your message will be a lot more effective if you post only your BEST images.
5. NEW RULE: Please do not post more than three or four pictures per thread! Doing massive photo posts means that the quality of your critique will be much less as it takes far too long for someone to go through and critique 20 photos all at once.

1. As I said before, be respectful of your fellow Gaians. While we are looking for critique, it must be noted that critique does not equal bashing.
2. Critique should be given in a constructive, knowledgeable manner. This means that you should be able to first tell the user what they've done wrong with the image and then back it up by telling them what they can do to fix it.
3. Simply saying that an image is "terrible" or "awesome" is not acceptable; we are not a one-liner guild. If you think an image is without flaw, feel free to say so, but you should also be able to say exactly what you like about it. This way the photographer knows what they've done right and can keep that in mind next time!
4. When receiving critique, we expect you to take it with a certain amount of maturity. Someone disliking your photo is not grounds to start an all-out flame war. If you feel that a user has critiqued your photo unfairly, take it to a mod and we will review the matter.
5. For every one new photo thread you post, please critique at least one other thread in the forum. The idea is to make sure everyone is learning and everyone is getting something out of it; this includes learning how to critique!
Sorry guys, I know that was long-winded!
Thanks for reading all the way through and welcome to the guild!
