Before you attempt to use the method of bowling described here, I suggest learning how to bowl normally. This means learn the basics of the game, curve control, and power shots. These will help you learn how to bowl strikes and pick up spares.
First learn how to throw straight without any spin or curve
Tip 1) having the ball bounce eliminates most of the spin
to do this you have to release the ball when it is above your Mii's head
Tip 2) throwing with two hands to make sure you don't tilt one way or the other
Second learn how to throw hard and straight without any spin or curve
Tip 3) Pretty obvious the faster your movement the harder your throw
Putting it all together
1) Setting up your position
-Move to the right so the dotted red line is just slightly over the gutter
-then hit the "A button", zoom in by hitting UP on the d-pad, and target between 1 and 3 pins
2) Throwing the ball
-Hold the Wii remote with two hands in a up right position (like the first diagram the game shows you)
-Hold on to "B button" until your Mii reaches the penalty line (which then the Mii stops walking)
-Using two hands, make sure you don't tilt left or right, move the wii remote down and then up. Do this until you see the Mii holding the ball above his head. This insures that the ball is going to bounce when it releases.
-When the ball is above the Mii's head, you are ready to throw. Try to throw straight and as hard as possible. This will insure your ball will hit between pins 1 and 3, which if you are set up correctly it insures a strike all the time.
