Or maybe not.Nonetheless, Young!Phoenix's sprite still has "RYU" written all over it, thus there may be some type of small potential translation block.
I'm mostly interested in knowing whether the official art or sprites will need to be edited so all of us not-from-Japan will understand. If so, will this offending sweater be adorned with a plain heart? Perhaps a new nickname?
Or will the "RYU" stay, and the localization team will just make up some reason for the name? I'm personally hoping for the latter >.>
Now to wait a million years until someone actually clicks the GS3 section ._.

I hope they dont change the sprite and just come up with an excuse for 'RYU' being written on his top, because lets face facts, it's a cool jumper.
But I can probably see them editing the sprite for PW3, but editing it would just add an extra 43 years onto the release date >_<

I agree-keep the RYU!
I think it'd be great if they just could find a hilarious excuse for it...though I MAY turn the other way if they gave Phoenix an equally hilarious nickname.

The fantranslation dubbed him "Nixxi" without changing the sprite. Nixxi sounds like some type of pokemon >_>
Anywho, if I'm not mistaken, wasn't the newspaper with Gourdy (from the first game, last case) changed with an English text headline?

yeah your right, I think that if they changed it, it'll only mean that they'll spend a little extra time when releasing the game... I think.
