Why is it that people who smoke light cigarettes are called "pussies" by other smokers? I usually smoke Turkish Silvers, which are light (maybe ultra light?) but they aren't weak, at least I dont think so. I just don't like really strong harsh cigarettes, I like something lighter that is smooth and wont hurt to chain smoke, which I like to do in the summer. Why does that make me a wimp?
I don't get it, maybe I'm missing something.

Its not that it makes you a "p***y" but lights have no punch at all in them. You would know what we mean by punch if you smoke a jack or a Winston. I do reds, camel wides, Newports, and Blend 27...if you want to move up, go to the blends...they are still smooth, but have enough nicotine to keep money in your pocket, instead of going and buying a pack every day or two
and if you mention chain smoking, youa re looking at one...i chain smoke all the time....my half hour breaks at work consist of 4 to 5 straight smokes

I don't get it, maybe I'm missing something. Yeah, silvers are pretty weak, but who cares. I usually get the number 9s.

I smoke certain kinds of light cigarettes because I like the taste better.
Like Export A Gold, and Players Light...<333
Actually, those are like, the two most popular smokes in Canada.
So Canadians are like, total pussies. XD<3
Psh. Smoking's smoking. I smoke to get m'fix, and when I do I'm happy. heart
Plus, when I'm reeeeeally stressed, I have to suck back that smoke, and it hurts less if it's light. XD

I don't think it's because of the nicotine level that people label lights and ultra lights as "weak" cigarettes... I think it's because, like a previous poster said, there's absolutely no punch in them... I smoke reds and go through about 10-15 a day... Thankfully I'm working full-time this summer, as, I'm paying about $35 every week and a half for another carton of reds that my brother gets me...
interesting fact, at the end of this year, tobacco companies will no longer be allowed to label cigarettes, at least in the United States, as "lights" or "ultra lights" because it is felt to be misleading. A light causes the same damage... it's just smoother about doing it...
