If this has been done before, then I'm sorry. I looked through all 4 pages and found nothing, so I thought it was okay to make this thread. Does anyone ship characters? After watching the original london cast version of Les Mis, I'm going to have to say that I ship Marius/Enjolras. They just had so much chemistry on stage, I seriously thought for one crazy moment that they were going to lock lips. rofl I also ship Jean Valjean/Javert when I'm feeling particularly silly. xd wink
So, fellow gaian mizzies, who do you think just HAVE to be together? Don't be shy, ridiculous/obsene pairings are most welcome. 3nodding

I think I have my anti-shippings post saved somewhere...
Here it is!:
Valjean x Javert (sacrilegeshipping)-Really...I don't know how this could work out. I guess it evolved from one fangirl's idea of "There must be some secret reason Javert was chasing Valjean all those years...and in cheesy romances, people who are deprived of their love are depressed, and some depressed people are suicidal! Lyk, omg! New pairing! Valjean x Javert = SO KAWAII!" Valjean would probably be one of those staunch practitioners of religion, I would imagine, and naturally wouldn't fall in love with or have pre-martial sex with or get married to Javert, because he wants to be redeemed. Javert would put the law above love, because, well, he's Javert.
Eponine x Enjolras (impossibleequationshipping)-They never met. Therefore, how could they love each other? Plus Eponine loves Marius (to the point that she wanted to kill him so that no one could have him, and then change her mind and save his life) and Enjolras is asexual. Unless you count Liberty or "Patria", because liberty and Patria is to Enjy as law is to Javvy. I think it is like an impossible equation. Maybe people wanted to even out these two together because Eponine is unloved (romantically, unless you count Montparnasse, but most fanfiction I've read that supports E/E is musical-based) and loves someone else. Enjolras is loved* and doesn't love anyone. So therefore, maybe there's a mindset that Eponine's unrequited love will balance Enjolras's single-ness, and in turn Enjolras would learn how to love another person. Eponine would know how it truly feels like to be [romantically] loved, and also would be loved platonically by the rest of the Amis, because she's their leader's girlfriend...But for reasons stated above, it won't work. Eponine was at the barricades, too, but she didn't change her mind about Marius. If there was really love, it would've happened then.
Marius x Eponine(I forgot what this was called. Please, Atomic H, please still have that journal entry)-First off, Marius loves Cosette. If he would've loved Eponine, he certainly wouldn't say it aloud. A bougeois gentleman loving a very poor gamine would be unheard of those days, unless the very poor gamine was a prostitute, and that's a different kind of love. So class would get in the way. And in the book, Marius was first repulsed at Eponine's appearance...the Eponine loves Marius who loves Cosette who loves him back love triangle is, you kind of can say, is held together, by, of course, love, and stalkerish relationships. Eponine stalks Marius, Marius stalked Cosette. I've always preferred Eponine in terms of character, but unless it's one-sided, but to me, Marius x Eponine doesn't seem too possible.
*Okay, this might seem to contradict my first, since most haven't read the book, but in some productions, Enjolras and Grantaire have a little moment in "Drink With Me." That didn't happen in the production I saw, but after seeing Enjolras die at the top of the barricade, Grantaire goes to the top and spreads his arms out, suggesting "Let me die too." There is also brotherly love from the other Amis (or more so), fangirly love from-I guess you can tell, and romantic love from all of the grisettes he rejected.
